I agree completely. The Porsche Turbo WAS a decent dollar proposition in the 996 and 997 gen. and in the 991 and 992 gen its gotten so much more expensive that it doesnt really make sense.

Does anyone actually like these?
I still can’t get over the fact that they named their electric car anything with Turbo in the name. It reminds me of the Turbo button on old x86 PCs or Turbo graphics on slow-ass cars from the 70s/80s.
Does it have an ACTUAL, REAL, PHYSICAL TURBO?
It’s very regional. $4k Miatas are a dime a dozen around here.
If you live in the area, maybe you should have a look at this: https://glensfalls.craigslist.org/cto/d/glens-falls-2003-mazda-miata/7120614427.html
At least with a Miata, you get a (small) trunk. These MR2s have literally nowhere to put things, which means there will be trips that you could do in a Miata but can’t in an MR2 Spyder. Want to go up to the mountains for a weekend and drive around on some twisty roads? Want to park it somewhere and not worry about…
The price is high for the miles and condition. The top will need to be replaced very soon. I would also want to know what happened on the rear passenger side. The rear bumper unit has an oversized gap to go with the two protruding butt dimples. You can trade off 30K miles for like priced examples for the same…
I’ve seen one on the road, and it looked fantastic.
True, for most people. For someone like me though, that’s been driving manual for most of the last 10 years, and currently drives a new manual car, I’d have no trouble with it.
How do you “end up” in one of these? Thought these were a something you had to request and pay extra for.
“Being a racing driver means you are racing with other people and if you no longer go for a gap that exists you are no longer a racing driver because we are competing.” - A.Senna
I gotta agree here. He lost the title due to this, that’s enough of a consequence for something that didn’t even give anyone a bruise.
Also hilarious how Dale Earnhardt is basically revered for doing this type of shit once every couple of races, yet Schumi and Senna were the “criminals”, to hear some idiots here tell it.
really just for the nonsense that comes from his retired mouth
Sorry, but best equipment always wins - regardless of who is driving.
Yet it’s funny how today only Villeneuve is looked down upon, but really just for the nonsense that comes from his retired mouth.
>>>You still need talent to bring out the speed of these things, especially back in the 90s.
Which is why Senna once jumped out of his car mid-race to check on a competitor that was involved in a crash?
Sure, competitive drive and hunger for the podium can cloud your judgement, but to blanket their careers with a statement like they “had complete disregard for the well being of their competition” is a stretch.…
Hilarious.
