Not to mention trains are a huge money pit. Have to leave the station on time regardless of the passengers on the train. Least economical way to travel.

Jesus. Thank you. The high speed train people are really something else. Sure, certain corridors should certainly have high speed rail (Boston, NYC, D.C.; San Diego, LA, San Francisco, etc.). But the idea of nationwide high speed rails is laughable. Also, do you want to give up your land for rail lines? Because no one

This isn’t some new-found conflagration; airliners have always been super-spreaders. Jalops will be on here next week whining about Delta charging them $400 to go visit Aunt Jackie in Newark, who’s on a ventilator, poor thing! Why isn’t anybody offering flights for $40?

...because I can take a flight from Miami to LA for $40?

Don’t bother with the map.  Only about a second grade grasp of geography should be needed to understand why US mass transit isn’t comparable to a country roughly 6% its geographic size and smaller than 2 of its states.   If they need the map to explain it to them they’re not capable of reading said map.

pretend high speed trains[...] aren’t a much more sustainable alternative

wat?

Still better than flying Spirit.

Because I’m lazy. The 383 is a direct swap for the 305 so all of the accessories drives, engine mounts, etc. stay the same. It you put in a big block everything has to be modified.

Nope... Sux on my iPad too.

Hang on...I can get paid to protest commenting here?  Sweet!  If I had a nickel for every failed comment load...

I don’t believe these ever came with the wonderful two-way gate. That’s a pretty important enticement in my book.

“Too Boxy” is impossible

If it were me I’d pull the 305 and put in a 383 stroker, beef up the rest of the drivetrain accordingly and then have some fun driving it. I’m not paying $8k for it, though.

Just when you think the morons that own this company can’t make it any worse, they set a new standard for ineptitude.

The 1994 shape is what people who grew up in the 60s then got to design cars in the 90s thought the future looked like.

My ‘85 sedan averaged 19 mpg in mixed driving, about 24 on the interstate.  The gearing of the 700R4 helped.  Which is what this one has, not a 4L60.

Yeah a nearly 40 year old, massive car, thats slow, heavy, gets shitty gas mileage, and has no safety features. And I get to spend 8500 for it, a boring car no one wants any more? What a deal! /s

*refreshes page 86745897895 times to get comments* I like these beasts and want to seem them come back as alternatives to SUVs. I don’t like it at 8500, we are not even in worth a look/offer stage.

He doesn’t have the bumper on because that exhaust isn’t stock and not routed to the factory spot. The bumper would need to be hacked up for it to fit. Probably looks like shit
