So if his card was stolen - then what? Can’t drive his car (this appears to be literally true for Teslas. Not so much for every other car on earth)

Seth had
What if Seth had all of his cards stolen? Should he not be able to drive his Telsa? Interesting take. Most people keep some cash around. And/or pay with a phone.
Yes. It would if Ford owned the only fuel station available and Ford didn’t have any way to pay with cash and Ford told him that his payment bank for fuel was full. Yes - everyone absofuckinglutely would blame ford. Tesla shouldn’t get a pass for shitty software and shitty service.
No, Tesla created this situation. Look at the details. Not only did the app display miles that were expired, when he called support they said they could see the miles and did not know why they were not being deducted.
I can walk into any gas station and use a NFC pay system. Hell, many places you can do it right at the pump. Why is Tesla lagging on such a system?
Read the article again. He had cash, he had Apple Pay. Tesla accepts neither.
That’s what kept me from pursuing a Tesla as well - not enough infrastructure where I am at.
Still not close enough for me to go and sit forty minutes to refuel.
I don’t think going far out of the way to fuel a vehicle and sitting forty minutes while doing so is worth it for a daily driver.
You aint wrong about any of that. One of my biggest gripes with the car is that EVERYTHING is controlled by the infotainment screen. I get why they did it, but I hate it. I would much rather have physical buttons for things like the heated seats, sunroof, and fan. A volume knob would be great too but I can live with…
That’s why he had cash, which for a tow truck is more reliable as many of them will not take cards. Cash, however, cannot be used at a supercharger.
Not in northwest part of the state . I don’t live close to Mobile or Birmingham where there are plenty of charging stations.
Not the number of cars I see , the number of cars I own.
I always try to have an open mind (when I can find mine ) and think that the Tesla is cool from a technological point of view but not really viable for around here . Plus Elon Musk kind of gives me the creeps . I’m also old enough that I don’t like a car with an I Pad for all the control functions in a car , it seem…
I drive for a living and I don’t live that far back in the woods. Teslas aren’t for everyone so don’t act like a snob . I see hundreds of cars daily .
And, please keep telling them... This company’s systems and InfoTech are a bad joke. It’s a story that deserves to be told.
I’m in northwest Alabama and I have only seen one Tesla on the road here ever .
I told you so.
No superchargers in my area that I know of. Tesla can go pound sand as far as I am concerned and this just reinforces my opinion of them . Not any way to run a business .
