No B Pillar is a Coupe Hallmark, other than that NP

Is there any luxury coupe with a decent looking front end? This one looks like a plump robotic version of Rowlf. Hard pass.

What would they need proof for?  All they need to know is that the dealer didn't vet them well enough.  Toyota would be dealing with an internal policy matter, not pressing criminal charges. 

Former dealer service manager here (NYC, L.A., SF East Bay area). I can’t speak for Toyota policy but for the major brand I handled, knowingly selling any units for export out of the US was explicitly prohibited by our franchise contract. Selling multiples for that purpose was even more of a no-no. That didn’t stop it…

IIRC Toyota licensed OnStar some years back to use in their vehicles in certain markets. Not sure what they called it or how available it was, though.

Yah, ah... Toyota knows its Vehicles go to places and people they are not allowed to.... and they don’t care.

I believe the general thrust is that now that Toyota knows about it, if any of their dealers wind up doing it again in the future, they could refuse to allot them more than a a truck or two at a time, etc, etc. 

A couple points: Tanks are quite expensive compared to a pickup. The extra weapons you get on a tank also use even more expensive ammo. I think Toyota secretly like that their trucks end up doing this sort of thing. What better ad is there for a LandCruiser? “The only truck tough enough for terrorists” “a truck so tough that militias wont bother tanks” you get the gist

The real bullshit here: While all of those ass holes can fairly easily get their hands on the best pickups and SUVs Toyota has to offer, I cannot buy any of them in the US and I’m not even trying to wage war on anybody.

Well good for you. I do get sick of people telling other people how to spend their money. I don’t care if a person has one dollar or ten billion dollars it’s their money . So it good that you give back but if you give 10%, 20% or not a dime it doesn’t matter and if you give for the right reasons that is great. But…
