Agree, much more should have been done. But the panic is dumb.

I wonder how many ventilators Jalopnik has donated.
Oh wow, look. Another Gizmodo Musk hit-piece.

The A6 is pretty confused from a design standpoint. Is it slab-sided Bauhaus of the 2012 model! Yes. Is it big gaping Lexus mouthed? It’s that too! Does the rear bumper have a cut line that start no where and goes no where? Yes (We don’t want it to look slab-sided ((no wait, we do!))). A6 doesn’t really do any one of…
The front end of both cars, most new cars even, is pretty ugly... and the Audi is probably the better car. With that said I doubt the A6 is worth the extra $20,000, or whatever the price difference is. As with most things these days, the amount of people who can afford the G80 but not the A6 is extremely limited - so…
*rolls eyes*
The A6 is so fucking boring looking
Audi somehow made a car that is both boring and busy, that photo shows off the chaos of highlights and body lines going every which way. I don’t love this Genesis thing but its a far cleaner and more interesting design.
I like the Genesis. When I first saw the picture you linked, I thought Accord before looking closely, but that is probably just me.
Counterpoint: That concrete wall is more interesting.
Melted bar of soap
Yuck. Audi is so boring.
Yeah sure, if your favorite type of bread is plain white wonder bread. It’s boring as hell. Point out what makes this so interesting for me, please.
Well I didn’t say the G80 was better... my point is more that Audi too could use a little bit of restraint, especially when it comes to the stretched-face gaping maw they’ve been slapping on everything lately.
COTD if we still did them.
From that angle (and in a dark color) the A6 looks great... then you see the front end and the words “restrained and classy” are not what come to mind.
Genesis(‘es) are more interesting to look at than Mercedes(‘es) these days.
Hi Max,
For some people it’s a mental illness -- they just can’t bear to throw anything out, for fear they’ll need it later, even if it’s garbage.
