That’s because they’re past the point of being cordial and are genuinely pissed at the amount of money they’re losing while the CEO gets a raise.

Boy, the cult of Elon is out in force today.
Tell that to their current bullshit implementation that should have been shut down 30 times over.
Another reason why I will buy any EV other than a Tesla. They have been shady from the get go, being overly secretive and holding back information from prospective buyers and owners, now this “audit” BS where they remove features. I wish someone who had this done to them would take them to court to force Tesla to not…
I never liked Tesla. not because of the cars, but mostly because of the smarmy Musk mentality. Either the media has it out for this guy or he just think he can do whatever he wants with no ramifications. Screw Employee Safety, screw public safety, Screw the buyers of his product!
Come on , you aren’t surprised that his Supreme Lordship Commander Musk is directing his people to do this so he can get more money?
Chip. His name was Chip. I shouldn’t know this.
Why has no one sued them for this yet? Seems like straight theft to me.
So you’re a Porsche dealer that took a Model S as a trade in. Now what? How do you know what you can advertise as features on the car? List it on autotrader or cars.com as being ludicrous-capable? The Porsche dealer isn’t an expert on what Tesla software could be “audited”. No good can come of this.
Effing-A, Cotton.. effing Aaaaaaay. I want a Tesla a lot. But I have no interest in dealing with Tesla at all. I keep waiting for a car company with regular common sense to build a fast sporty EV I like and can halfway afford.
“I’m sorry this wasn’t the resolution you were hoping for, but I appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention and thank you for helping to transition the world to sustainable energy.”
Tesla is going on my shit list alongside John Deere. I have no desire to own something from a company that engages in this kind of software fuckery.
I don’t understand their gains here. For the maybe one person who would spend another $20k(!) on a used car because they absolutely need to get to 60 .1 sec faster or whatever real world irrelevant number the difference is, there’s going to be a lot more pissed off people rightfully shitting on their name everywhere…
What’s been missing in these articles is someone going through Tesla sales agreements with a fine-tooth comb to determine exactly what it and the buyers are agreeing to.
Seems like a law suit or two will clarify this just fine.
I’ve given Tesla plenty of chances to set the record straight here, and if it somehow decides to finally reach out
Talk about destroying the secondary Tesla market. Oh, that one you bought with everything and paid a ton of money for? Well, it’s now worth $20k less if you want to try and sell it.
You’re forgetting that Tesla is a technology company, not a car company and their “vehicles” are just hosts for the accompanying software which is really SaaS. Everything they’re doing in completely above board a should not be looked into further.
“Full Self-Driving” - isn’t that type of nomenclature what has caused some idiots to crash and die in these cars?
It’s a very annoying and stupid thing Tesla is up to. I mean if it’s on a car when being sold, taking it off later amounts to theft. The argument that it’s a software and is licensed to the first owner doesn’t hold water.
