Because this is Jalopnik and people here by 12 year old abused 4 owner BMW’s and then blame the manufacturer when things go wrong.   Audi and VW are also high on the list leading me to believe Americans don’t know how to maintain German cars.  They aren’t as forgiving as Toyota’s.

It doesn’t help that the any Wrangler variants are more easily subject to dealer mods than anything else. It perhaps speaks more about the idiot non-car fans willing to pay for one of these “things” than it really does the dealer.

The Toyota dealer in Westminster, MD had theirs listed on Cars.com for a short period at $99,000. It is still available, but is now listed as Not Priced. These dealers seem to think they can match the prices of 4th gen models. This time next year, they will be offering special financing on these cars.

Could get two Z4's for that price.

I have no real ill will towards the man, but I feel like Musk-diehards always use the line “what have you accomplished?” every time he’s criticized. That’s not a counter-argument and it’s a just a huge disservice to anyone’s accomplishments.
