Exactly. I have had cats my entire life. I have never had this problem. My cats know the things they can climb on. If you train them when they are kittens, by the time they are full grown they know where not to go.

My cats know that my computer desk is off limits to them even though I allow them to climb up over most of the surfaces around my room. I also trained them not to step on keyboards even if its on the floor. Only one of my three cats sleep on my Surface Pro keyboard (not on any other keyboard) but only when I’m on bed.…

I’ve never had this problem, but then again I actually train my cat instead of just letting do whatever the hell it wants.
