Im confused by what you mean. No one truly dies except when they do?

I agree, I’m sure he didn’t mean it this way, but when I read that first paragraph my mind jumped to ‘creative stuff isn’t worthy of money’

We have done this Kickstarter thing for awhile. I am surprised to still see this thinking.

Jason, this is cool you’re listening and responding. I don’t have a problem with writers on Kotaku expressing an opinion if it seems well thought out and rational like yourself and Patrick do, even if I disagree sometimes.

In this case it seems to be a clear attempt at trolling a specific fanbase. Especially as the

This feels unnecessarily harsh, Phil. It’s placeholder box art! I’m as skeptical of kickstarters as anyone — probably more — but it feels a little off-the-mark to rail against a game so many people are excited about because the placeholder art looks like... placeholder art.

Please don’t taste children.

All you need for it to fit is a proper shader and consistent art-style. Kingdom Hearts 3, also powered by Unreal Engine 4, is proof of that. I am excited to see what Nintendo could do with as much power as the others, or more.
Hardware power with addition of the Nintendo Game Polisher™? F*ck yes.

I am glad to hear your impressions on the game so far. This continues to affirm my understanding of what the game is and it is exactly what I am looking for. I am very excited for the game, but I am not setting my expectations to an ungodly high degree. I just want to play it and explore. Can you explore? Yes. Can you

I’m sure Bethesda was happy to do it. It is probably the cheapest, positive PR they could buy.

This is what the game will look like optimized on PC.

“Can you run my game, Superman?”

I remember when the first build game into my youtube subscription box, just called something along the lines of ‘’UDK Game test’’. It feels like I’m watching A Hat In Time grow up xD.

It’s not really under the shadow of Yooka-Laylee. Players that like these kind of games know about it and are excited about it. (like me)

Having played the beta (and the alpha) it’s really smartly designed. The run speed isn’t incredibly fast, but the levels are reasonably compact so you don’t realize it. It takes a minute or two to get used to the controls, but there is some incredible level design in this game from what they’ve shown. It’s wildly fun,

“perished to be under the shadow of Yooka-Laylee”
And why do you think that?

Now that’s a hamburger

I backed both and am super excited for each of them! Just from my perspective on the backing timelines, it seems like Hat in Time set the stage by proving that there is a lot of interest in reviving the genre and that each game will offer its own unique spin on what made collect-a-thon platformers such a fun genre to

Looks more like a Croc, Spyro or Gex game than Crash or Jak&Daxter. I loved Gex though. Not sure if I like Hat in Time. May need to watch a few more videos before deciding.

If I recall correctly (don’t take my word for granted), they wanted to get the PC release out first, then port the game to consoles. I do know for a fact that they’re still aiming for a late 2015 release.
