@korpo53: That's what I do! Well, sometimes...And then I have an extensive "system" which envolves google reader, starring, the read it later-addon for firefox (my all time favourite!), and going through my feeds about once a month to see if I stopped liking any of them enough to unsubscribe. Works great for me, I

@anniekate76: I agree, too. Why would you go to so much trouble to keep the bag in, when it's not only easier to take it out, but much better for the taste of the tea, too?

@CanuckEh: I didn't realize 4-year-olds can use the internet without help, nowadays (as I read in some other comments here - I'm not around such young kids very much myself and it's crazy how quickly these things evolve). Considering that, I can see there might be some use to these filters, although I remain convinced

@Jason Fitzpatrick: You're right, of course. It's great that you want to shield your kid(s) from that stuff until they're old enough not to believe/attach value to everything they see. The problem is that obviously, you can be just as misogynist or generally full of bullshit with all your clothes on. I don't find

I never understood why we should pretend that sex and even naked bodies don't exist when there are kids or coworkers around. What's so "unsafe" about nipples, for example, I wonder? (Not that I think it's okay to look at porn in front of either of those categories, of course, but youtube doesn't host porn anyway (does

Is there an easy way to mass-tag pictures by their filename? I have a folder with pictures with great descriptions in their names, and I'd like those descriptions to show up in Picasa...

VOTE: RSS (in Google Reader)

@nka: It did work, thanks! I'm so glad to be rid of this little annoyance...

@nka: I used revouninstaller but I hadn't thought about using CCleaner, thanks for the tip, I'll try it now. And yes it does look like there are several instances running at once, but as far as I can see that's not the case...

Hmmm, I tried to post a question earlier but it seems it got lost, it got posted as a reply to a totally unrelated topic...Try number 2:

@techfox: Thanks, I've already re-installed it 5 times, it doesn't help. It is much faster than windows' default one for me, though, so I guess I'll just keep clicking "start now", I'll probably get used to it anyway...

Another question: I was really excited about the new feature in google reader that creates feeds for websites without rss. I can't use it, though. When I try to add a site without rss feed it still just says "couldn't find a feed for that site", and there's no "create feed" button or anything. Do I have to do

I use teracopy as my default copy handler, but for some reason it has stopped starting automatically when I want to copy or move files. I always have to click "start now". I've studied the settings and googled, but I still have no idea how to solve this. I distinctly remember it used to start automatically. Can anyone

I want a really simple screensaver: photos from one folder, randomnly shown, without enlarging them. Windows's can't do it ( or not anymore? I seem to remember it could in XP). Any suggestions?

Looks cold...and great!

@bnetter12: Problem solved, thanks to this page: [neosmart.net] You can download a recovery disk from there, which solved the problem in 2 minutes. Thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction, and thanks for nothing acer for failing to install this on your recovery disks!

@oyanobaka: Definitely two thousand ten. Two thousand and ten, even. I imagine the time when everyone says "twenty" instead of "two thousand" will come some day, but it won't be in my lifetime!

@MagicMT: Show them how you use it yourself. I use Google Reader all the time at work, and more than one person has already asked me "where I get all those cool pictures", and started subscribing to some feeds themselves.

@robio376: Thanks everyone... The problem is, though, I don't have a Windows installation cd. It came pre-installed on my new computer. I do have the "recovery partition" and the serial, and I created some "recovery discs" straight away using the blank dvd-rs that came with the computer, but I find this whole thing
