I'd never buy an ebook that's only viewable on one platform. I still read most of my books on paper, and use iBooks on my ipad for some Project Gutenberg things and some epubs when the paper version of the book is unavailable or ridiculously expensive (or expensive to ship). I really hate the thought of buying a book

Calendar help needed! When you subscribe to a calendar (.ics-url) in google calendar (for example, my tasks from toodledo), is there a way to keep those events visible in google calendar after they have passed?

I like the look of this, but going through all these screenshots I suddenly realised that they're really ALL male-only. What's the implication here, Android users only communicate with men?

I really like that it can remember your positition and other settings in a video, so I'd try switching from VLC if it weren't for VLC remote. Can't live without it anymore! Or is there something similar for SMPLayer?

I was going to say the same thing: when I hear the alarm, I just jump out of bed. Once you have that reflex, it's so much easier than all that "snoozing" denial.

thanks, guys! You're right, that's what I was looking for, and it was glaringly obvious. I just hadn't noticed that the search function had come back, and am also apparently blind.

Thanks, that's a big step forward. But do I remember this wrong, or did there use to be a way to sort this by relevance/popularity? And if so, is it gone now?

what's the best way to search for the best/most popular/most relevant lifehacker articles about a certain subject? I just decided to buy an ipad, and now I want to read all those articles I ignored in the past because I thought I'd never get one. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to do this, though...

I loved 2shy! It had this very suspensefull scene that would not be possible today, when a victim was downloading a picture of the fat-vampire while he was already in her appartment...but would the internet connection reveal a recognizable part of his face in time??

Really, is that knight supposed to be a ridiculous figure? I haven't read the books, and I kind of liked him. That relationship; at least they were nice to each other, genuinely seemed to like each other. That was a nice change in this episode. But I'm probably wrong and they'll end up betraying, or more likely,

How do you get people that you have as contacts on multiple services to show up as one contact in the list, as on the picture above? I've just gone crazy trying to find that option. Love trillian, but I've always thought the settings/preferences could be less confusing...

What's the best rss reader for android if I'm used to reeder on ios? I really liked that I could set it to save links to Read It Later when swiping to the left, and its speed and simplicity. Google Reader for android is good but doesn't seem to be very customisable, or am I missing something?

I use firefox, and the new layout for the gawker sites. When I click 'login', a little new window appears in the foreground, greying out the main browser window. I always go into the last pass extension to copy my password before I click log in, because the extension isn't available anymore once the login window

I knew about this, but it's still not very useful on lifehacker or the other gawker sites, since they're the only ones I regularly use that don't play well with last pass at all. There's no way to autofill, let alone auto-login, or am I missing somehting?

Another vote for sugarsync here, I haven't had any sync problems and I like the extra settings (selective syncing, also of folders outside of the magic briefcase) and the fact that the free account gives me so much space. I seem to need about 3 GB to be able to use it most effectively, without thinking about it, so
