@dry-roasted-peanuts: Well he doesn't look average, so BMI got that right at least. It does say something.

@Kynes: In my experience (someone who's never been outside of Europe), it's mostly based on people visiting the US and reporting what they've seen. I know several people who went there and came back saying "you wouldn't believe the sizes of portions you get there, AND the number of really fat people you see".
The Gorki house was closed when I visited Moscow, it's still a regret. I could have met that cat :-(
@andheartss haz it: I find all those things appealing! It's not because something is a cliché that it's not cool anymore. I'll never get tired of hot pouting girls in glasses and ponytails getting some girl on girl action. Never! The more the merrier!
@h4nn4h: (Can't see any relation with the Hole song though, but I always thought that title was based on something else itself. But I'm not sure about that.)
@birminghamdrunk: I think it looks promising! Funny!
@chancentrate: Yes and also when someone is ugly according to convention, you can say they're beautiful.
@mscomplexity: Probably because it's a picture. What else can you comment on except for how it looks?
Oh she looks so good.
@marionette: @groupie: Thanks for the explanation, although I'd like it better if she picked up drag irl, too!
Cool, but does anyone know why she's doing that? A video or something?
I think the most shocking thing here is the amount of tvs in young children's bedrooms...what do people do, just park their kids behind a disney movie all day? Creepy!
@LaComtesse: I agree, too. I'm gay and I never especially liked Disney movies (never understood those who kept following it and had all the vcr tapes and watched them regularly AFTER age 9) but I've never been "offended" by the elevating of heterosexuality in them. Sure there's waaaaay too much heteronormativity all…
@bridge-with-a-t: Yeah, they'd be better off not caring and just letting the artists do what they want. Impossible to please everyone either way, and that way they may bring out some decent movies again (says the girl who hasn't watched a disney movie since the lion king at age 8, but isn't afraid to pronounce…
@curiousgeorgiana: I know what you mean, they should just do the same thing for less conventional couples, too...like none-princesses! none-white! And none-straight but I just know that's too much too hope for just now. I hate how slow things evolve.
I had a book like that, too! Not the same one though. It's not just Denmark. I find it kind of shocking that this is newsworthy to anyone... How else are kids going to learn where babies come from? Just leave them in the dark until they're old enough to go looking for internet porn?
Hahaha this picture makes Brussels look like (my probably entirely false mental picture of) rural Rumania. Such a cool city, you never know what to expect!
@h4nn4h: More to the point, I think there's a lack of nuance here, too. Just like in the mainstream magazines. If you say anything in comment to an article about fat except for "Great post, that woman looks GORGEOUS", people react very emotional and you get accused of "fat shaming" or ignorance. And I don't mean…
I like Beth Ditto and I don't think her weight has to be discussed in each article (I'd say it is relevant to who she is, like her sexual preferences and things like that, but not the single most important thing about her), but to be honest I do feel like Jezebel has been "promoting" fat lately. Or not "promoting"…
Oh, give it up already. I've seen complaining about the internet's ludicrous obsession with bacon (agreed, by the way) here but you're doing the exact same thing with leggings. It's getting old.
