@American as Apple Pie: I think most people don't have much of an overview, it's just so big and so far away mostly, too complex. I am interested but you don't hear very much about EU politics most of the time.

@notheretomakefriends: Haha, good one! I've read about 25, too, so since there are about 50 left I don't feel the need to fangirl THAT bad just yet. If I'd read them all it would be another thing though.

@Your Screenplay Sucks: Another vote for Murder on the Orient Express, that was really the best one I've read so far, and I've read plenty and loved most of them. Another favourite is "The Pale Horse" although I don't really remember if that one features Poirot, Miss Marple or neither of them.

@h4nn4h: Although, now I'm confused. Maybe the dandelion was for nettle stings? Does anybody know?

I don't know about bee stings (never been stung by one), but for wasps: vinegar, or rub it with a dandelion. Sounds strange but if I remember it right, it always worked when I was a kid.

@barb95: Me too! Despite me being gay and him being not Mulder (not at all, it seems!), he's still one of my biggest celebrity crushes...

@ElleL: One minute, and then some random clicking on the timeline (about 2 seconds each). Some people are just...so confusing.

@h4nn4h: Okay now I've looked at her youtube channel (must admit, I was fascinated) and she is 22. Now I don't know what to say. I didn't think it "endearing" before, just plain weird and exaggerated, but now... At least she probably won't grow out of it. Good for her, I guess.

I sure hope she never grows to regret this phase. Too embarassing for words to look back on, probably, and knowing you broadcast it over the entire internet won't make it any better...

@chancentrate: I've "friended" you because of this. What I was thinking, albeit less carefully put (which is a very good thing!).

@Meiran: I agree with everything you're saying there, but I have a feeling we're talking in circles. It's like Chinaplate says, it's such an emotional minefield. It IS great that there is serious, honest talk about personal experiences on sites like this, but even here it's so easy to go into taboo territory and step

Oh I remember that method from fourth grade! With a cassette tape going "jjj SPACE jjj SPACE etc" and handclaps at the end when you had to go to the next line. On a mechanical typewriter. Hard to believe that was as recent as 1995. I can't imagine they use anything else than a computer now, but it sure was effective,

@chinaplate: I just made you my friend, because you seem to express my opinions better than I do myself :-)

@chinaplate: I agree with everything you say, I have wondered about all those things myself. And yeah, I'm European :-)

I really don't know what to make of all this. I myself have gained about 10-12 pounds over the last few years, and it IS because I've been excercising less and eating worse. And I AM embarassed about that, and I'm not ashamed of wanting to lose that weight, and trying to. I don't hate my body but I looked better

@PeachesDelux: I hope you'll enjoy it! I especially loved how she "cunningly" disguised herself by re-arranging the letters in her name...and nobody was onto her. REALLY, Carmilla is the same person as Millarca???? And Mircalla, too? No way!

@SaturnEyes: I know what you mean! A lesbian storyline is a nice extra for me, I like it but I don't need it at all to love a book or movie etc. I should think it would be the same for straight people; there's enough straight couples in fiction to think they'd like a little variety too, sometimes.

@LAmonkeygirl: But I love the depraved ones, too! Like Carmilla, so much better than Dracula.

@C'est la vie: Yes BUT on the other hand, the best thing ever is when you read a book you have absolutely no expectations about and it turns out to be your new favourite ever. So I'd say, read more book reviews, but also keep buying things based on nothing :-)

@will_this_dissertation_ever_en...?!: I think I agree. I love reading about lesbians, I think that's a normal thing AND they don't exactly slap you around the ears with them in mainstream popular culture. For me they just make a bad story better and a good one great. But yeah, I do have problems with the "lesbian
