Dude, I sell Jeeps for a living. They are my competition, and as a rule, their owners tend to be absolute douches. Before I came here I was a Union Steelworker. I’ve never owned one, and I certainly wouldn’t buy one new.

I’m not sure what you mean, but that $7500 isnt profit for them, its the government effectively buying down a customer’s payment.

I’m not saying it’s not thier fault, I was explaining why they didn’t try.

Yeah no shit, they make good EV’s that are 12-30 grand.

Wrangler 4xe, Dodge Hornet, Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf, Kia EV6, etc. Are not luxury vehicles.

I’m going to go a bit out of character here and advocate for the giant corporation:

Some numbers, adjusted for inflation, just for funsies:

Yeah, an I understand why it cant have that same crisp kind of shift feel, its a belt thats designed to move around and slip. Doesn’t take away the feeling, though.

Oh for sure, but in that case, just offer a “Low” range.

I thought this trend had died out 3 years ago, save for special cases like the Raptor R.

Fake “gears” in a CVT.

Over the course of a year, I lovingly turned this $500 truck from a broken down lawn ornament covered in hay and chicken shit, into an utterly reliable work and play machine capable of 1000 mile road trips, drive-in-movie dates, fire department wildland fire support, and of course, sweet jumps.

Thereabouts, why?

On a Ridgeline or a Maverick maybe, but there’s no “centering” a main fuel tank around a driveshaft.

Pure giggles, friend.

Maybe this is just my wierdness coming out, but on top of the passenger side being common sense for safety’s sake, It’s always bothered me that in most every truck I’ve had, I sit on the left, the battery sits on the left, and the largish fuel tank is also on the left. At 34 gallons, the fuel tank weighs as much as I

I’ve drove through this area twice in the past 3 months, it’s absolutely CRAZY how much water is missing from a few years ago.

This news is hitting my 48 month Lease buyers like a ton of bricks.

My first pick? The K5. The blazer name is taken, so let’s go with the GMC version, the Jimmy. The current Canyon AT4X/ Colorado ZR2 platform is straight up awesome, and recent. It would be the perfect basis to bring a Wrangler/Bronco fighter to market. MAKE IT SO!
