If I may offer up a bit of insight, here’s a few reasons why:

Why oh why did they choose silver for all these press photos? That characterless shade makes it look like a high resolution version of an NPC sedan in a late 90's video game that wasn’t even about cars. It’s just so generic looking.

As someone who spend all of the 90s riding around in 80's Fords, I can smell this picture.

I dunno, Awful close to being able to snag a used CT5 V series with a decent warranty here....

I’ve yet to own a vehicle that gives me the feel-goods like my old 91 chevy.

Alternatively, I have a 2008 with 24,000 miles for about $50000 cheaper ;)

Same. I still want the EV over the I6, but if I can get a 4 door with the I6 for 40ish grand, it’s going to be pretty compelling. Here’s hoping.

They will. This car will fail and fail HARD- At first. 2 years in, though, I’d be willing to bet they will scramble to offer some real performance at a fair price. High output I6 or a new V8 coming in around the 50 grand mark I’d say...That’s gonna be the move. It’s still an absolutely awesome design for a car.

Handling gets mistaken for two very different metrics all the time: Road holding being one, and the other being general wieldiness.

Just tragedy all around. So, so sad. This, and so many other accidents like it, are completely avoidable. Until I started running with a Fire Dept, I never knew just how common senseless accidents like this are.

We tend to laugh or roll our eyes at someone who won’t own a foreign car over a Domestic, or wont buy a Mitsubishi because they made some planes in the 1940s that did some horrific things. Because of the rate at which we wear vehicles out.

I’ll never make enough money to just wipe out a reserve of cash and pay flat out for a vehicle, no matter how “financially sound” that advice is supposed to be. I have a budget. So much money a month goes to retirement, so much goes to saving for vacation, so much goes to bills, college for the kids, so forth and so…

The wrangler exists in a wierd state in which it deserves 100 percent of the love it gets, and 100 percent of the hate. It was divisive LONG before the Cybertruck was a thing!

Man, I love the Hellcat, and I love EV’s, including these supercar EV’s.
