As a CDJR salesperson, the renegade was dead last year.

Exactly. Like, OK we get it, you think it sucks. But if you’re writing an article about a product, at least be a little bit impartial? Throw in some jabs of course, sure. This though, is just someone who not only hates the product, but the company that makes it, the CEO of the company that makes it, and the perceived

I have no idea what is more obnoxious and nauseating these days:

In the 1st year of ownership my S10 took from me:

Yup. Most new trucks are pretty much designed that way anymore. One of our techs here can have the cab pulled on a 18-and newer ram in about 45 minutes flat, and he loves the cab-off jobs.

For me it’s the constant advertising of the 10-Year 100k warranty, which they do NOT extend to the 2nd owners. All these people go out and buy these things secondhand thinking theyve got some great warranty coverage, only to find out they’re out of luck when thier $40,000 used telluride pops it motor.

I wont get into the reasons that I dislike Hyundai/Kia, but suffice to say I’ll never own one. However, the Ioniq 5 is just the COOLEST car, and I would probably own one if I didn’t have my bias against that company.

Power+Long wheelbase+high front weight bias+Limited slip diff+Stability+Low traction= Tons of fun.

It’s a great looking car, but what exactly is special about the liftgate to generate headlines? The opening is in the picture, but I really don’t see what the big deal is here that makes it neater than, say the opening and rear facing bench on a 2008 Chrysler minivan. Did I miss something?

What I can’t believe is that nobody has called this thing out for what it is.

Car dealerships are full of an eclectic mix of people from all walks of life, the majority of which are simply most interested in getting a paycheck with as little resistance as possible, and with as little effort as possible.

Oh I know they’ve got a point. They’re problematic. Look at the Ecodiesel. Nearly every single problem they have is because of the emissions equipment. That engine has been dead reliable in other markets for decades, comes over here and gets certified with the emissions stuff, and it’s a mess. Same with your cruze.

Correct.

A federal violation doesnt mean anything if it’s effectively not enforced by anyone.

The more and more I see these articles, the more I realize just how different we are state-to-state. I am not exaggerating when I say that at least HALF of the diesels in my tri-state area are deleted. Half, at the very least. We’re talking thousands and thousands of trucks. The auctions are FULL of them.

Umm, maybe I’m ignorant to why it wouldn’t work, but has anybody looked into just making them out of, I don’t know, metal?

As a worker at a CDJR dealer that also has a sister Ford store, this nails it.

Hi, I’m a guy who works at a dealership in the heart of rural truck country.

Slight tweak to andy’s response: This guy needs a charger. a 2014-2015 with the 5.7 will eat up the interstate getting 25 mpg, and those seats are absolute COUCHES.

That’s strange, I briefly drove an automatic and thought it was delightful! A manual would have made it perfect, but I drive nothing but backroads. I can see how it would be a bore at more highway speeds.
