My sister had her tonsils out- no complications, and the hospital gave her a HUGE bottle of liquid codeine.
I didn’t have one but I was close, the year I was 20 I had about 7-8 cases of strep throat, I eventually grew out of it, I think it actually had to do with the ehh hem lifestyle of going out drinking the 2nd I felt better, but I have not had a case in about 8 years.
