I became a fan of Shannon Woodward in Raising Hope, so I was thrilled to see her in this show and so sad when she vanished so quickly. It was great to see her back again. Lab geek kicking ass in the park, whoo!

What’s Avengers?

I am so happy to live in Oklahoma near a theater where you can get a matinee adult ticket for $5. And first-run, new movies! I see the Marvels and Star Warses Thursday night opening weekend. One time I was in line and heard this from the next register:

“You get an A, we get a new library.”

I got it one piece at a time
And it wouldn’t cost me a dime

There are two true Daryls...

I feel that way about the recent swarm of YA books. They’re fine, for a certain age group, but I’m getting recommended titles by adults. I want to say “It’s fine if your reading level hasn’t matured since middle school, but some of us need something a little deeper.”

Plus it has the added emotional “oomph” of why it’s happening, and talking to the villain rather than beating him up. It was one of the first episodes I saw, actually, and the fact they could go from “In the middle of my backswing?!” to “I LOST MY SON!” in such a short time convinced me to keep coming back.

My whole theater (very white, in OKLAHOMA) loved M’Baku.

That huge mountain of a man sitting on his throne giggling because he made a joke. That’s when I knew he was aces. ;)
