Watching that one brief scene with Aniston and Margulies, it occured to me that both of their careers really began on the same Thursday night on NBC almost 30 years ago when Friends and ER debuted. I don’t really have any point here, but it just struck me as funny.

PINCH HITTING FOR PEDRO BORBON ---- MANNY MOTA MOTA MOTA

The dumbest thing in the game was having to traumatically swing injured bystanders to a nearby hospital or ambulance.

I bet those were all the things Kathleen Kennedy said to Lord and Miller when she offered them Solo.  How did that turn out again?

Florida parents: “It’s fine with me as long as none of the characters are gay.”

I’ve read that there were a few songs they couldn’t clear and had to replace with something, but I was happy to hear that Be My Baby made the cut. Can’t imagine that scene with anything else.  If you know, you know.

I feel like putting Ode to Joy over the trailer for your Christmas-set action movie is making a particular kind of statement.

This was the first tv show I made a point to catch whenever it was on that wasn’t a cartoon or something else made for kids. (aside from the fact that it could get pretty childish itself) I bought the dvds 20 years ago and was happily surprised to see that it held up. Very much looking forward to revisiting it again.

There certainly aren’t.  Whatever that means.

No, I understand what they’re saying. When my grandmother died a few years ago, it took months for us to find and burn all the photos and videos we had of her. But now she’s forever erased from our memories and life is all the better for it.

TVLine has confirmed with sources that “great care” was given to preserving the tone and style of the series, while limiting the number of replacement songs. Specifically, we hear that all of the songs sung on-screen by Shepherd, Willis and the supporting cast are intact in the remastered version of the series. And

Also, it was announced yesterday that Moonlighting will make it’s streaming debut on Hulu October 10.

I can’t let a mention of Cliffhanger go by without mentioning poor Ralph Waite, trying desperately to give a look of horror and grief when Sara falls to her death in the opening scene, but only looking for all the world like he’s laughing his ass off.

I wonder what mid-20's Elliott thought when he saw E.T. during that scene when he saw TPM in ‘99.

The phrase ‘in a galaxy far, far away’ makes you assume that the planet Earth is somewhere out there, right? Hyuang quoting that in the intro got me halfway expecting that they were going to pull some Battlestar Galactica BS and the big ring was going to emerge from hyperspace in our solar system. I was very relieved

My gut reaction is that this won’t work without Niles. But I remember hearing the same thing 30(!) years ago when people thought Frasier wouldn’t work without the gang at Cheers to bounce off of. I’m going to try and keep an open mind about it.

Everyone should do themselves a favor and go look up the album of Gershwin songs he did with Diana Krall, Love is Here to Stay. It came out in between the two records he did with Lady Gaga and maybe because of that didn’t get as much attention as it deserved. It’s wonderful.

Will the Disney camera set come with a Ub Iwerks minifig buried under the floorboards of Walt’s drawing studio?
