One of his first well-known scores was the excellent Phillip Marlowe story The Long Goodbye from ‘73, so I’m excited to hear what he could do with another detective story like Bullitt.

The Lawrence Kasdan-written and -directed romantic comedy French Kiss with Meg Ryan and Kevin Kline. I remember really enjoying it when it came out in the mid 90's. As far as I can tell, the only way to watch it now is a bare bones standard def dvd.

Even though I know it wasn’t a realistic dream, I really wanted this movie to open and flop, just to spite Cameron’s big ego. But watching it do just ok, and not lighting the world on fire like the first one?  That might be just as much fun.
