Has anyone else seen any hint of the pod-racing arena in all those wide shots of Mos Espa?  I’ll admit I haven’t been looking all that closely, but it seems like it should be in there somewhere, right?   It reminds me of the Netflix Marvel shows that refused to show a glimpse of Stark Tower in all the shots of NYC

Motherfucker mess with me I’ll split yo head!!

Not that I ever need an excuse, but this is a good time to rewatch Sneakers.

I watched the first episode two weeks ago, and I burned through the first season in a few days. It’s not a great show, but it’s compelling enough to make me want to know what’s going to happen next.

That’s good to know. And even though I haven’t seen anything yet confirming the previous Spider-Men (Spiders-Men? Spider-Mans?) will show up, I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t happen.

My wife and I have been back to see two movies since we got our third shot two months ago. We went on a Friday afternoon and waited until just before we got to the theater to buy tix so we could get seats as far away from others as we could. But this one my son wants to see, and his last shot was in May. Looking at

I love Branagh’s movies. Seeing his Henry V and Much Ado About Nothing were really what woke me up to enjoying Shakespeare. But he did have an urge to populate his film with famous American actors in smaller roles that mostly served to distract me whenever they popped up. I wonder if he was able to wrangle more money

The only change or addition to the OT for the Special Editions that I liked was the shot of Boba flirting with one of Jabba’s dancing girls at the palace in RotJ. From all the trailers for the show and his role in S2 of Mandalorian, it seems like he’ll be pretty stoic, but I’m hoping to see some glimpses of a sense of

And now I see that this was originally posted 8 years ago, which explains the number of comments.  So, nevermind.

I was having this discussion just the other day with a friend of mine who likes it, but doesn’t love it. As far as action goes, he prefers Aliens, or Terminator 1 or 2. My point was that I consider Die Hard the best ‘pure’ action movie ever made. Pure because those other movies, as great as they are, are really sci-fi

All the same, I think I’ll hold off on getting one.  You know….just in case.

The song they are listening to at Kate’s aunt’s apartment when Clint returns is Bells, Bells, Bells, from Christmas in the Stars, The Star Wars Christmas Album. Less well-known than the Holiday Special, but equally as bad. Worth listening to if only to hear the teenaged recording debut of John Bongiovi, who went on

What are they doing putting a Christmas Tree right over their dumpster in the first place?

Now playing

I think it’s just as well. After his work on the Dana Carvey Show, he might have been type-cast as a guy who has various digestive issues.

Sneakers reference!!!  You’re my new best friend!!

Decider says it will be on Hulu sometime today. Some of NBC’s specials and things like that still make it to there despite them having their own streaming platform now. If not, I guess I’ll watch it later during the couple of months a year I use Peacock.

20 years ago Harry did a great  album of songs from Mary Poppins, Sound of Music, Annie, and a couple of others. His version of Maybe is a highlight. Looking forward to seeing this later this weekend once it makes it onto Hulu.

‘The science-fiction thriller depicts the aftermath of a deadly flu pandemic that wipes out most of the world’s population.’

You know which SNL cast member would make a great superhero? That kid Robert Downey that did like one season 30-something years ago. Yeah, the sidekick/bully from all those 80's teen movies! No, wait, hear me out!!
