Anybody think there will be some sort of acknowledgement for Raiders’ 40th anniversary next Saturday? I haven’t seen much about it, at least nowhere near the limited fuss they made for Empire last year.

Leading up to it, I was convinced that John Hurt was playing Marion’s long-presumed-dead father Abner Ravenwood.  That wouldn’t have fixed the movie completely, but it would have improved it a lot.

Last Crusade is a little too comedic for me, but I still love it. And choosing Connery to play Indy’s dad was one of the best casting decisions in the history of Hollywood.

We went several years ago and did several of the high-end places both in the parks and in some resorts, and the best thing I ate there was the Thanksgiving sandwich at the quick-service Earl of Sandwich in Disney Springs. Turkey and dressing on a roll, and cranberry dipping sauce. It was delicious and we still talk

I watched a few minutes this morning, and they made a valiant effort to make things look fresh and more like it used to, but it still came off as manufactured. But enough about Courtney Cox’s face.

Nice to see him actually admit they should have had a plan for the whole sequel trilogy before they started it, but that doesn’t make up for his worst mistake.  I will never forgive him for not having Han, Luke, and Leia on screen together at least one more time.

The easiest game of ‘if they were a Pixar character’ ever!

Richard Marx could have a beef with any human being in history and he’d win just because he’s married to Daisy Fuentes.

Hey, here’s an idea! You could add reviews of the final two episodes of season 2, since AV Club abandoned it mid-season two years ago, and then you could throw in your review of this while you’re at it!   Just a thought.

They never did get to touch Indians.

I’ve never been able to figure out why a city the size of Memphis next to a river as important as the Mississippi only has two bridges across the river. Granted, there’s not much on the Arkansas side once you get past West Memphis, but it seems like they’d have at least one more maybe a few miles up or down stream.

“Hey, my mother’s mother’s mother was black!”

Executive Produced by Larry Hama.

I stuck with it until about halfway through season 2 but it was just so……I guess earnest may be the best word. Every event and interaction they had was just so wrought and significant. It’s a talented cast and the writing was good, but I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Remember it?   I’d be surprised if he even realized it as he was doing it.

When I was about 5 or 6, I went grocery shopping with mom and the freezer that had all the popsicles and novelty ice cream treats had broken down just before we got there. They were basically giving them away. Mom loaded up the cart and we took it home and filled up the deep freeze in the garage. We had the most

To be fair, the Power Ranger comparisons didn’t start with the Broadway show.

So we’ve hit the “he’s not all that” phase of Michael B. Jordan’s career? Already?

I totally get that, and I wasn’t making any judgement of the choice of venue at all.  I just noticed it, is all.
