It seems almost deliberately confusing. My wife, who hasn’t read the book, had no idea Fran was pregnant and when we see her and Stu together in Boulder, she assumed they had gotten together after they got there and then Stu got her pregnant. There is a small moment when she approaches her dad in the garden and asks

I find myself using this more and more often these days.

I read the original cut version of the book once in the late 80's shortly before the uncut edition was announced. I remember being at the bookstore (Waldenbooks!) when they opened the day it was released and devouring it in just a few days. Read it many times since then.

Considering how much the first episode jumped around in time, I’m guessing we’ll see some more of Captain Tripps’ spread, but probably not as much as I had hoped.

I’m not really excited about this, but if it boosts the chances of the original show streaming somewhere, then I’m all for it.

I think that at least leaves room for them to communicate with the force.

“Might as well call it whitejack!”

“It’s a semi-comedic take on the Death Wish/TakenEqualizer ‘older guy kicks ass’ formula.”

I guess I didn’t make that very clear, did I? Yeah, I had the virus, not the vaccine. And my wife and son.  There’s the possibility that my job could be considered a front-line worker position, which would get me moved up in the line, but I’m not going to rest easier until all three of us, and my parents in their 70's

I’m in the US. But what I said still applies: Get it as soon as you can.

Seriously. Get the fucking thing. Today’s my first day back at work after having it. While I was gone, 5 others up here were diagnosed and 1 has died.

I’m disappointed I had to scroll down this far to see this.

I think she’s overdue for a late career breakout role that reminds everyone just how great and funny she really is.   Something along the lines of Catherine O’Hara in Schitt’s Creek.

I don’t recall saying ‘Good Luck.’.

Took a girl from work I was into to see this and Mission Impossible 2 that year. She loved both of them, which  made it hurt a lot less when she met a guy a couple of months later and almost immediately got married and pregnant.

Soderbergh did it in Out of Sight before the Coen Brothers. White Boy Bob trips on the stairs and shoots himself in the head when they’re raiding Albert Brook’s house near the end.

He’s got more killer lines in that 2 minute clip than some comedians get in a career. There wasn’t a single Japanese aircraft that got past Tulsa.’   And I love watching clips of Johnny when he finds something really funny.

Now playing

Everybody’s going to Mario or bread, but my old ass immediately thought of George Gobel sitting next to superstars Bob Hope and Dean Martin on the old Carson show and SLAYING them with one line. ‘You ever think the world was a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?’

Now I want the footage of this to come out more than I do the Russian Pee tape.

I’m not a fan of the original mini-series, but Matt Frewer made a perfect Trashy in it. This is.....fine, but that picture looks more like Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.
