‘may my typos b forgiven but, damnit. That was meant to be profound’
Enough with the documentaries already, Netflix!
It’ll be about the little boy with the broom at the end of TLJ. And his imaginary friend Sheev.
C’mon Hulu! It’s a special event! For charity! Don’t make me wait until tomorrow morning to watch it. I could really use this tonight. Go ahead and release it!
So when his dad finished saving the world all those times, (Christopher Reeve WAS Superman, don’t bother arguing with me) did he ever go back to the phone booth, revolving door, or broom closet to retrieve the suit he left lying there?
Where’s the dog? I saw a dog’s food and water dish on the deck. What happened to the dog? WHAT THE HELL DID HE DO WITH THE DOG??!!
As far as fan-service geek-moments go, old footage of Red and Gold leader being used in the battle over Scarif beats ‘The garbage will do’ by a mile. I’m not saying the Falcon’s reveal in TFA wasn’t cool, but when those x-wings dropped out of hyperspace and we saw Red Leader in the cockpit, I may have peed myself a…
Actually, it wasn’t 15 years ago, as the article states. It was 24 yea.....oh, Jesus.
It begs to be mentioned that this is also what he did on Rogue One. He took over production, albeit much later in the schedule than this, and turned out what in my opinion is the best of the Disney Era Star Wars movies.
It’s not one of Steve Martin’s highlights by any means, but it was just mediocre enough to be a huge hit. To see an example of him ‘slumming it’, I’d point you to the Pink Panther movies he made. (Two of those damn things!!)
Quiz Show is an amazing movie. I watch it every couple of years and kick myself every time for skipping it at the theaters in ‘94.
Was still working at a movie theater when the first teaser trailer for this came out. Walked into the back of the theater showing Waterworld to a packed house, (yes, it was Waterworld) to see the audience react to it. You have to remember it had been 6 years since a Bond movie had been released at this point when…
Stuff like this makes me wish Roger Ebert were still alive. I would love to read his review of this.
‘...as a bonus, you’ll have extras to nibble on all week long...’
All of your criticisms are correct. And don’t matter one single bit.
Thank you for mentioning Shattered Glass. A fantastic movie that proves Hayden Christensen actually CAN act when he’s not being directed by George Lucas.
After many years of not really caring all that much, I decided to watch all of the 2019 Best Picture nominees this year. So this weekend, despite not having any real desire to see it when it came out, I finally got around to Joker. My instincts were right. What a hateful little movie. There was nothing even a…
Look at all the jetpacks. Flying Clone troopers, flying Mandalorians. They seem to be pretty common. Seems strange that Poe and Finn were so surprised by the stormtroopers using them in Rise of Skywalker, doesn’t it? Or maybe they just had them say ‘They fly now?!’ one after another simply because it was funny and…
Silverado all day long.
