The dude literally rolled up his sleeves to save the day and alert his agents that they've been made. He doesn't have the guts or the quick-thinkingness to do it, and that's it. Show's over right there.

Welcome to the final The Americans Kill Tally for season four of the best series in production.
In place of a single heart-stopping sequence, they had a heart-stopping series of four or five episodes between Martha getting "made" and P&E finally extraditing her. The first half or so of the season was like a never-ending stress nightmare, and some of the show's best work.
Heat is good for relaxing muscles and releasing tension or strain. Cold is good for reducing swelling and inflammation. Heat can sometimes FEEL nice on something inflamed, but only on a very superficial way, i.e. comforting warmth where you're otherwise uncomfortable. That it's actually easing your pain and allowing…
I used hand soap when I first discovered masturbation, but now I don't usually use anything. Maybe once a month I use lube, if I feel like "treating myself".
Hot shouldn't reduce swelling. Cold reduces swelling; hot increases it.
She's 15/16. I thought I was pointing out all kinds of hypocrisy when I was that age and older, when I really just didn't have a thorough grasp of nuance.
Agreed. I thought he was shiftier than Claudia at first, because he was this cuddly friendly uncle — while she was openly cold and threatening, not much manipulation there.
I've never felt more necessary!
"Gene? There's no way you're that good."
It's a fairly closely held secret. I don't think anyone in the Rezidentura knows about it, although I do suspect that Tatiana has suspicions about Oleg and has been working him for some time.
I thought Gabriel was about to announce he was dying. Did Glanders kick his ass so badly he'll never recover, or is he just old? Or is he doing a Maester Pycelle-esque pantomime version of being old and weak, only to bust out some sweet moves when the plot requires it?
The outcome, if I recall correctly, was that the US DID plant false plans, but it was also the Soviets' fault for rushing things through production carelessly. Arrogance and lack of care for human lives on both sides.
Absolutely. The writers clearly asked themselves "what can we do to shake Elizabeth's unshakable beliefs?" and came up with Yung-Hee.
Stan's got great instincts, but is too messed up by his life and lacks focus. Aderholt has an amazing eye for relevant details and is way more thorough than Stan. Dangerous team.
Stan did turn into a big kid in that scene. The way he said "I tend to turn up at mealtime" and then practically giggled gleefully when they insisted he join them.
The fact that she had the wherewithal to steal back her wallet will save her from police scrutiny, but it's something that'll stick in Paige's mind and come between them in the time to come.
I certainly don't consider him one of Philip's kills, no. I daresay they have many deaths on their conscience that aren't theirs exactly. Another of Philip's is Annelise of course, and then there are the Soviet sailors who died from those faulty sub plans Phil and Elizabeth stole.
Welcome to another installment of The The Americans Kill Tally.
OH MY GOD.
