No "borderline", in my mind. Flat-out controlling, aggressive and abhorrent.

the ongoing saga of gwahir's meek bicuriosity
She tweeted recently about being harrassed by dudes on the street in my city (Melbourne, AU) and, as was tragically predictable, then copped a bunch of online harrassment for it and lost over a thousand followers. Enraging. She's come here to the ass end of the world, for one of the world's biggest comedy festivals,…
The show can't really reach its potential without a better adversary. Non is probably the worst villain in all the Berlantiverse, and that's quite a high bar. Ra's making his pointless plans and the unappealing overacting of Vandal Savage are both far more preferable to whatever the hell they think they're doing with…
I don't agree, and neither does Tolkien. There's nothing shortsighted about the evils of the two great tyrants of Middle Earth (Morgoth and Sauron), and the Ring itself wielded its terrible influence very slowly and patiently. So often in Tolkien's stories, the bad guys were better organised and more patient than the…
March 1983 still. Not much time has passed since the season 3 finale, which was March 8, the date of Reagan's evil empire speech.
Not just see it through, but see it through patiently. Even when we all called that her death was inevitable, they didn't just jump in and pull the trigger. They wanted us to wait it out with her.
I loved Paige's one second of frozen terror when Elizabeth started talking in that accent before she realised it was a joke.
"It's what you've always wanted" is one of the most hurtful things you can ever say to a loved one. She played it earnestly, and Rhys played it like a cold knife to the heart. True to life I think. He HAS always wanted it (at least a big part of him has), and he's always been sensitive about it, especially from her;…
I was on the edge of my seat afraid of that, but I figure that in the process of Philip coming clean, the two of them cleaned up all traces of him from her apartment. He doesn't need to tell her any more how important it is that he not be discovered.
It is with a heavy heart I present The The Americans Philip and Elizabeth Kill Tally.
Dude, you— you have a problem.
"though I often downvote MLA anytime I come across her"
I used to try to, until I came to believe that if a conscious higher power exists, it is deeply wicked, and if it isn't conscious, it's completely useless.
My emotional/physical needs are a venn diagram with a large overlapping area but large separate areas too. I don't need to be emotionally invested in order to have sex, but it does make the experience many orders of magnitude better in every way.

Yeah, I mean the Nazis weren't great, but let's not compare them to FURRIES.
Yeah, it's a bit weird. As a Jew who dated a very Nazi-phobic German, I can relate to NSPP on this one a little. I had no Nazi fetish, to be clear — I would just make jokes or references, never at her expense, and she could be very sensitive. (She wasn't even GERMAN German, just of German descent.)
I'm lonely and keep falling in love with unavailable women. Not uninterested, unavailable. How come I can't find someone who's into me AND can actually act on it?
Ditto. Sometimes I just want to have fun with someone one time. But it's not really what I'm hanging out for. It's usually good for my self-esteem, if nothing else.
