I dunno, folks who are more worried about the “correctness” of an application usually come in 2nd... or worse. Pick the best option... which I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that they absolutely did. That was ridiculous.

You douchewads realize there is another meaning to the word, right?
I have a 1995 range rover county classic swb. $14k is my bottom dollar on it. Special deal for jalopnik! Most everything works. Exceptions are cruise control, heated seats and drivers side powerseat ecu is toast. The white pain needs a buff bit is dent and scratch free. The interior is a solid 9 with damn near perfect…
F1 competitor? F yeah.
There are many “sites about cars”... which I don’t frequent. I guess Jalopnik is becoming more like those.
What is it with you guys who think these have to be amazingly exciting?
Hipster inspired, looks like something from a Jules Verne novel, but has modern guts? I dunno, it’s stupid.
Well.. so far, the only “killer app” for EVs are $100,000 luxury cars that appeal to tech enthusiasts. Which is fine as this funds the development costs and ultimately leads to cheaper EVs... but it’s still not clear the people will actually want boring, non-luxury economy minded ones. We’ll see.
True.... but the failure rate at 220mph is not zero either. We are already accepting significant risk here. The question is, how significant is the risk increase relative to 75mph? 220mph? Hennessey may be thinking how significant, or what magnitude, will the risk increase be from 220, or even 270, to 300? If we…
So you’re ok with men looking at hot women, just not hot women being were men can see them? Got it.
Texas. “Rolling coal”. Hybrids. Trucks. Beer. Cold beer.
Screw those people. I mean, what, they look at vehicle, like it and then proceed to actually purchase it?!!? Don’t they know that much smarter and wiser people on the internet find their action pointless? Don’t they know it’s all so profoundly pointless on a vehicle that will never see Moab? The fucking gall of these…
I feel like you’re arguing with me but not really addressing the points I made. Odd. What makes you think I’m unaware of various race cars of the past and what kind of power they made? Regardless, that has nothing to do with what I am saying. Do you deny that modern production cars have more HP than ever and that it…
I’m not making any subjective argument that 420hp is better or worse as expressed with smaller displacement and turbos than with larger displacement and NA... I AM saying that a 4.2 liter twin turbo making 420hp seems anemic by today’s ever-escalating standards. Take a look at Porsche, for example: 3.0L 400+ hp.
Exactly. The GT350 is 100 hp/L naturally aspirated... the new Corvette motor needs twin turbos to reach this? Seems stupid.
The fact that other ills exist do not discredit this idea. Progress is not an all or nothing proposition. If you are philosophically behind the idea, you should support it regardless of whether or not other areas of concern are being addressed.
Well, sarcasm aside, would’ve been nice if more than 5% of the post actually had information about the truck in it.
I happen to be married to a white woman... she’s blond, has boobs and everything! And I can tell you first hand that you are right... she is spoiled rotten and gets away with things you couldn’t imagine. I just laugh and shake my head cause she is absolutely adorable. Usually in these situations she just sticks out…
Yep. 700hp should be reserved for the betters.
