Personally, I can't wait for them to do away those boring and disgusting ICE engines... gross.

Well.. 10 year plans are made to be broken. Or something.

Interesting thought... if you are flying between Colorado cities, there shouldn't be any problem with bringing weed, a legal substance in Colorado through a TSA checkpoint in Colorado. Just as I can bring a bottle of booze from NYC to Dallas...

Oh yes, underrepresented car communities would be hilarious!!!

Sure you can tune out the timing reduction but you are risking a big *pop*. Better would be a meth/alky injection system. Keep it cool and enjoy the stock power. Or tweak the ECU/ blower pully and you're still "OK" with the meth kit.

Will lower prices reduce demand overall? While I don't disagree with the theory that some folks may buy marginally more, newer, more fuel efficient vehicles due to marginally higher discretionary income, wouldn't it ALSO be true that:

Seriously man, check the date of my post, this information was only speculation at the time.

Yes, the drag strip will break things you never thought could break... hopefully not trashing your entire engine in the process but it happens.

This post was before we knew for sure anything about the new engine. There were rumors of a flat crank... but nothing on displacement or HP.

Because squirrels can't breath water. Duh.

And the opposing point is... "no shit! but I still want one!". The fact is that large, truck-based SUVs like the Yukon are found to be supremely practical in terms of a family vehicle for some folks that live outside of the urban centers... if you can afford it. It's great for road trips, towing, hauling a lot of gear

There's nothing mini about it. It's built on a full-size truck platform. The same platform that actual full-size vans are built on. In terms of weight, lineage and in every other way it is a truck, not a mini-van. It may take on the "role" of a mini-van in some cases but if that's what you mean, you are just trolling.

Or it just happened to be on the showroom floor of the local exotics dealer and they said, cool, let's buy that.

Thanks "bro".

I wouldn't consider the pictured truck to be too lifted. Looks like about 6", maybe 8 which is where I think the limit of usefulness is. 6 is perfect, really.

It is a swag, they're not hiding that fact. I've seen the interview where he explains it. Once the engine is finalized and the testing is complete we will see if they hit the number or not.

But if they hadn't headlined their marketing campaign with "84 mpg" would we be talking about them at all? It's all a moot point if their "official" mileage numbers are in the ballpark when (if) announced.

I have no entry. I just want to rant about this over-used, ironically poseur-ish, statement:

I eat a of bread, therefore I am an expert on the bread industry. If you have any questions about bread markets or their regulation please let me know...

So it's both jet powered AND rocket powered?!?
