Where's the line start?

Why not both? Again there is no need to rank and codify good deeds. Actually, both are being done, they are not mutually exclusive.

Interesting how a desire to show respect to someone is classified and judged as if showing respect is a zero sum game. Obviously you are making assumptions about American culture that are incorrect. It's not that we do not show tremendous respect to pregnant women, firefighters, etc.. (we do and probably more than

As long as all this tech can be defeated as wished by the driver then... COOL!!!

I guess the point is these engines were not known for these as prominent issues and they certainly didn't have a 100,000 mile maintenance interval recommendation by the manufacturer.

I would have been terribly disappointed if i came looking for Junior Brown and found Julie Brown. Kinda like when you think you're taking a sip of a coke and it's like milk or something? Gah.

Yes!!!

Like the C7 LT1 at 74hp/liter? Of course, add a turbo or a supercharger and the advantage of OHC engines disappears quickly. For example the Challenger Hellcat has 114 hp/liter.

I think it was a cost thing... maybe it was a noise thing too. It amazes me that an otherwise bullet proof engine, such as the Lexus LS430 would have an interference design with a belt. WTF?

A small block chevy or a flat head ford has never had this problem.

There's another case you did not mention where you don't need to worry about a timing belt... It's called an over-head valve engine design. Cam-in-block works to. I've never understood why a belt with an interference engine was a good idea.

Way to play to your strengths Doug. I liked it. Especially the ping pong bit. Funny.

They aren't pretending to be banks. They are no different than mortgage brokers, stock brokers, any middle man in any type of transaction, really.

"They are actually beholden to a lot of rules. For instance you can't charge your customers $50 to sleep with your secretary."

Expecting profit is maybe a little presumptuous but seeking it is not bullshit. When someone starts a business they are beholden to no rules of where they can seek profit, where they can expand their business... They are under no obligation to provide financing, they do so ONLY because they can make money at it, and

If the finance guy at the dealership is profiling suckers, maybe his sampling of suckers, consciously, or unconsciously, favors minorities (not unlike they profile old folks as suckers in the same way...). Therefore he offers them the finance deal that makes the dealer more money and they don't haggle for a lower

I am quite impressed by his capability to pull seamlessly from his ass a string of organized, coherent sentences that are actually grammatically effective, if not meaningful or based on evidence of any kind. This must be a valuable time saver in the marketing world.

Every month we report the sales performance on every pickup you can buy in the US, and every month we come up against the same frustration: all three major manufacturers report their sales deceptively. I want that to change, and so should you.

I think he's arguing that they both are separated by only a minor degree of terrible.
