Any turbos in the C7's future?

Not bad for a gasser. Driving out to my deer lease I can set the cruise at 80 and get 17.5. I've got 3.55s in mine. 2012.

LOL. I have a 6.7. I love it but you are right, it comes with a price. Once the 7yr/100K mi powertrain is up, the gloves come off, dpf goes bye bye, boost goes up. I do like getting 18 plus on road trips though...

I thought beavers were for eaten and not huggin... Oh well, I'm pretty open minded so i guess I'll tryin huggin one to see what all the fuss is about.

Nope. Needs more open wheel.

Or if it was a Powerstroke diesel with numbers proportional to the 6.7 it would have 298 hp, 597 tq. with gas mileage to boot. :) :)

True. In my area diesel is higher. And I think in general it is higher in the rest of the US. There are exceptions. That said, it's also generally true that diesel is higher in the US than the EU.

Is that a fact?

Hmmm... Shouldn't there be an engine option above the 5.0 and ecoboost v6? Like the current 6.2. Or even better, a smallish displacement turbo diesel. 5.0l should do fine for that.

I drive a diesel too so not knocking it at all. Just, in the case of a comparable MPG gasser... the gasser will cost less.

Nailed it. They need MOAR BALLZ!!!

Where I live diesel is about .30 more expensive than 91 octane.

In the US diesel is pricier so this would be the prudent choice.

True. Blowers are more 'murican than turbos.

Well a supercharged Corvette isn't exactly nostalgic either. We have the current Zr1 and no prior forced induction (factory) Corvettes.

I understand that but what I'm saying is an LS7 derivative that is built to that application. Not literally the LS7. Maybe it's a completely re-architected block something akin to the one-off recasted LSx in the Hennessey Venom GT.

I remember my 2600 fondly. Next came a Commodore 64. Then a Colecovision. Good times.

I hope you finally got one...

Usually I'm fine with form follows function designs but this isn't that. I dunno, it was never pretty but now it's purposeful look is diminished.

So an LT1 with a few tweaks and a supercharger. That works. And it leaves little room for an even further modified LT1/4 for the Zr1 so... that means the Zr1 engine will be all-new. I hope. Twin turbo Ls7 derivative anyone?
