I think the problem is that the writing team is trying to re-capture Season 2's greatness. Which can’t be done. Season 2 was the perfect version of the violent version of The 100. I doubt the show can top it. What Season 5 should have done was focus on truly re-building society, at least partially.

yeah cheney was...idk i wasnt chilled by him. it was kinda expected. he was very nonchalant. in a fucked up way, i was impressed.

Ugh. It would’ve been interesting to see how those people came to grips with their world being dead. This show used to do a decent job of showing us multiple perspectives and fostering at least a little empathy for each side while simultaneously confronting the faults of individuals/groups (computer utopia season

Thats the problem isn’t it? I don’t think it will - I’ve lost all faith in the creative abilities of this staff. Unlike Flash S3/4 and Arrow S4 Supergirl has never had what I would consider a standout season such as Flash 1 or Arrow 2 to return to form. Basically its good from good/okay to BAD. Honestly if Ruby sticks

Maybe she wants to pull a “Mrs Robinson” and make a play for him herself. Of course that is fraught with danger. (See Imara and her ability to psychically fry the brains of those who annoy her)

A few other commentators have mentioned the weirdness of the witches terraforming Earth into New Krypton, when leaving it as it is means they get god-like powers...BUT the biggest thing that bothers me about this is: who’s going to live on it?

Yeah, it really kind of annoyed me when Alura was like, “So what’s the problem with you and Mon-El” and Kara didn’t go, “Well, he’s married for starters.”

Right?! I was like, “WHY HAVE YOU NOT SET THEM ON FIRE? ALEX GAVE YOU ONE JOB!”

My two favorite plotpoints of the episode:

I loved that Winn is so into Supergirl/ Kryptonian lore that he thought the deep-cut reference to her cat Streaky was too easy, anyone would know that

Poor Madagascar....

Good point. Though considering Argo looks suspiciously like Vancouver it’s hard to imagine what the hell the point is except to kill all life on the planet maybe? Make it hospitable for garatta dragons or something?

Also why kill all the humans? They’d be great slave labor...

I mean, “Evil Kryptonians want to terraform the Earth and form a new Krypton” is literally the plot of Man of Steel.

“Make It Reign” is about three evil Kryptonian witches who arrive on Earth to revive Reign’s splintered spirit in order to terraform the planet and transform it into New Krypton.

They discuss how Selena’s house must have a secret back entrance, then Kara instantly opens it by pressing the giant doorbell on the front.

It worked hard to achieve this level of mediocre.

Why do the Witches of Juru need a Worldkiller to terraform the Earth by stabbing its core with a magic sword when it’s already habitable?

Alright so here’s my theory about how they’re going to kill off Sam: Sam’s going to take Reign back into herself because outside her body Reign is invulnerable. And then once that happens Sam somehow finds a way to die, thus clearing a path for Alex to adopt Ruby in season 4. What a load of shit.

I think the person who wrote this article completely misinterpreted the ending. Which to be fair, seems to be something the filmmaker wants people to do. Gordo did not rape Robyn. Just like he didn't kill the dog. He just wants simon to question it. The lesson he even says is " I didn't rape her, or maybe I did. You
