I was an 80s ski patroller (neeeerd!). I'd say 90% of the incidents I ever fielded involved drunk people. They were either too drunk to get off the mountain, or just way overdid it on their one big ski blowout of the year. Good times.

That was totally tubular. I grew up skiing in the 80s, switched to snowboarding for 10 years, and now am back on skis. Snowboarding is too hard on the knees.
