I agree. But I am more interested in Monterey historics than Monterey concours d’elegance. Cars are meant to be driven and they are boring to me when they aren’t. I am the guy giving ride alongs at autocross even though Iam fighting for season points. At autocross everyone wants to talk about their cars and usually

I realize that. But there is a difference between oem castings and cheap castings.

Style 135 look good but unfortunately they are almost 4 1/2 lbs heavier per wheel for the same width of a style 68.

Style 65 (top) and style 68 (bottom)

Those Mercedes wheels look like they weigh a tonne. Most likely wheel to end up on a stanced Mercedes.

I would be nervous spending 40,000 on a kia. The engine will almost certainly start knocking and you will have to hope they warranty it given their current reputation and policies on warranty coverage

I am assuming “N”ot particularly good at anything. Or maybe rod k”N”ock special.

In 2018 I will stop spending so much money on my cars. But like most new years resolutions, i will forget about it after January.

That is a group n carbon fiber intake manifold on the euro motor pictured. Its not tye stock manifold.

That ridge is just carbon buildup at the top of the compression rings in the combustion chamber.

Sorry to break it to you, but noone is ever universally respected in any industry.

Volvo 240 didn’t make the list.

In my 5speed

It would be a toss up between tires and allignment.

Its in your head if you think they are “quizzing” you. They are probably just awkward nerd that want to talk to you and the only way they know how it to talk about racing

I can’t speak for all men, but we differ in expectation of acceptance. I personally don’t expect or need acceptance from anyone to do anything.

When can we all stop calling wheels “rimmmmmzzz” and alloys “magz”.

To be fair, i work at a wrecking yard. Im watching tye pick n pull constantly. It is a very good yard. I think the bmw tax is what is causing them to end up there right now and im loving it. Also dont drift your car on the street, insurance wont cover you.

Probably more like 290 actually. Transmission $129 + 30 core

I have 2 e36's. Obd1. Easy to work on. Parts everywhere and cheap. Tons of available information. I plan on driving this car until I die. I have spare engines and transmissions, lsd diffs in various ratios. Also i have a hoarding problem ( unrelated)
