I honestly can't seem to draw a single parallel from his trailer to Green Lantern. This movie looks fun and light hearted whereas GL looked boring and over CG right from the start. They couldn't seem more opposite to me right now.

I agree, but I liked how even in the show they knew it made no sense. Tom will pretty much date anyone who is attractive and shows interest in him and Ann is a largely undefined character who had been unlucky in love and figured she would say what the hell and try it.
