    Patrick's seriocomic stumbling through experience has me oddly reminded of Marlo Thomas's "That Girl".

    This is a great movie.

    Along with "Kill", the very accomplished Masaru Sato also composed the score for "The Sword of Doom", a number of Hideo Gosha samurai flicks, and good many of Kurosawa's early films, including Yojimbo.

    It's vaguely amusing, hampered by deadening camerawork and editing; but the lead possesses a suitably splendid visage and the requisite charm to fill the boots of a rogue and rapscallion.

    What would Goldilocks watch?

    Thirteen years after the first time I saw it, it's still the "lousy, ill-conceived movie" I thought it was back then too.
