I think, aside from the novelty of it, the thing the movie had going for it was that it was superbly cast and that’ll be hard to match.

I don’t know. The first Kick Ass was great (IMO), the second was a mess. The first Kingsman was great, the second was also a mess. And The King’s Man was a huge disappointment for me (had such high hopes for a Ralph Fiennes Kingsman film). I have not seen Argylle yet, but admittedly word has not been good.

This is the reason that a) I’ve cancelled Max and b) will pirate their content for the foreseeable future, if they managed to produce good scripted work going forward. Fuck Discovery WB and any profits they generate under this steaming turd of a CEO.

If that’s the case, it’s a bizarre corporate taxation system that is in need of overhaul.

Marvel seems to be pretty aware of their issues lately, and they’re basically taking a year off from releasing anything. I’m not overly optimistic, but I still think there’s a chance they are dialing the scale of stuff back and things like FF could end up good.

Yeah, seems like they’re taking their time with this like the older Marvel movies. Makes sense after the trouble they had with Secret Invasion and the new Daredevil.

Thank god the Rock will have a sequel to turn into a live action remake to follow his live action remake of the first film.
