Focus SE was my first new car in 2001 and Im on my 4th one since then. 2002 SVT, 2012 SE, and now a 2016 ST1 which I got for $20k out the door. Its a good cheap car for me to drive to work and not worry about people door dinging it at work. 90% of the people I work with drive giant trucks, SUVs, and Jeeps, they dont

I read that last line as “I didn’t mean to wreck him, just rattle his cage a little”.

Bought my tickets yesterday for my 5th consecutive year. Now if Jalopnik would just give me a press pass so I can get the good photos.

Bought my 4 day ticket and parking pass today for the 5th consecutive year...now if Jalopnik could get me a press pass so I could get the photos.

I ran into the same thing but with current brushless motors. Guys that we ran with that were sponsored would get 25 motors for free and dyno all of them and pick 2 with the most power then sell the slower ones at a reduced rate to all the other racers.

With all the diff cooling issues and now head gaskets, it sure makes my $20k ST look good even though its light 100hp. The 2.3 has been a POS since its release really. The first gen in the 2015 Mustangs kept making a window in the side of the block from rods coming apart.

Let’s talk about the dangers of fire extinguishers too. Kidde just recalled 38 million of those plastic handled extinguishers like in the photo.

Uncle bought a Ford Excursion off the internet from up north somewhere. I now understand why vehicles rust away to nothing up there. Took 7hrs to replace pads and rotors on the front. It involved lots of penetrating oil and eventually a torch. Front rotors were rusted on to the hubs so badly we had to eventually heat

It is quirky and I agree ugly to look at it but it’s purely for the fans. When I go to Rolex 24 at Daytona I sit up in the grandstands and can see the entire road course contained within the speedway. When I go to Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta I can only see a short portion of the track and depend on the jumbotrons to

If Im lying Im dying. I wish I had taken a pic just so you could be as disgusted as I was.

A proper RS...with 2 doors.

I still have rubber on front of my Mustang from VIR back in July. Im sort of ashamed I havent cleaned it off.

There are less limitations on rules for mid engine cars in IMSA and WEC best I recall. I know they won the championship in current configuration multiple times but you can’t improve without testing other options.

0The breaking point for me with the Corvette crowd was earlier this year when I went to the NCRS show in Loudon, TN. Went expecting to see lots of C1 and C2s fully restored to 100 points. Handful of C1 and 2s showed up and piles of C6 and C7s were there with their window stickers framed and there little signs out

Or completely decked out in Corvette racing yellow and black yet they cant name any of the drivers nor have their cars ever been anywhere near a track.

And Wayne Taylor Racing is rumored to be fielding 2 GTD Lambos next year.

I will be there to see it next weekend!!!

VW Beetles are terrible, station wagons are stupid, and theres no such thing as a 4 door sports car.

Yeah, I know but he would be much better off in an SHR car than RPM.

It probably doesnt help that she isnt really fan friendly from the few times Ive seen her at races. 2014 Brickyard 400 when the drivers walked the bricks to get to their cars. Every driver that walked through the fans signed autographs, Harvick, Mark Martin, Sam Hornish, of course Jr signed just about everything
