EV ownership utility is high dependent on your lifestyle factors. For me, its a no-brainer. I had solar installed on my home last year and locked in net metering 2.0 in California to get 1-to-1 metering rates. Bought a 2024 Cadillac Lyriq earlier this year in February, and sold my 2014 4-Series M-Edition. Having a

Musk is only hurting overall EV adoption and sales with his antics. The only reason I bought the 2024 Lyriq in February was because GM and Tesla had reached a deal to use the Tesla Supercharger network.

Put in my preorder in late 2022, recently got the email to configure the truck, canceled the preorder a few minutes later. No thanks.

250 miles of range for a 116kw battery is extremely poor efficiency. Even my 6,000 lbs Cadillac Lyriq with 102kw battery can achieve 320 miles of range. Why would anyone ever buy this car, it has almost no real world value, including offroading. I do have a friend that goes overlanding and 250 miles just doesn’t cut

What kind of magical car repair only costs $500? $500 won’t even cover changing an O2 sensor, serpentine belts, alternators, AC repair, or other common automotive repairs.

You really have to stop enforcing your personal needs onto others. I have a flight coming up to Europe this weekend and I absolutely love the fact that I can download all the episodes at once and watch it on the flight.

Some people have more money than brains, let them do what they feel is best.

Everything seems identical to my Cadillac Lyriq, down to the interior trim and curves. Only thing is, Lyriq is 2 row, and this is 3 row.

Not true Doho. My team mate bought the Model Y close to 70k about 3 years ago. So he actually paid more than my Lyriq. Also, during that time, during supply shortages, certain functionalities are missing such as usb ports, that the cheaper and newer Model Ys have.

Fuck Elon and his Elon ways. Brother-in-law bought a Model Y and I just don’t understand why someone would pay $46k for a car that has less amenities than a $30k vehicle. I bought the Cadillac Lyriq and love it so far. Fuck Elon and the Model Y, its a shitty car.

Couldn’t agree with you more!

The more news I see such as this, the more I love my Cadillac Lyriq.

I think this is a fire sale before declaring bankruptcy. All it took was one very popular person to author one bad review, damn.

Yes, we are asking too much. Only BYD & Tesla are actually making profits on their vehicles so far, that also a very small margin. Most American EV manufacturers are actually losing money on every EV they sell. In the case of the Rivian, they lose roughly $25k-30k per vehicle sold. They just don’t have the large

I learned financial acumen very late in life myself (early 30s). I wish my parents or teachers/professor taught me some of that. The best financial advice I ever received was directly from my fellow software engineers. I guess people that have money want to use it wisely. My investment strategy is: 6 month emergency

Sounds like India. They levy 70-100% taxes on imported cars. My 50k 4-series costs over 120k in India. I went and checked in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

I had no idea. I generally trusted his reviews because his team does thorough research, or at least that’s what I’ve been lead to believe. Does he ever correct the mistakes or just let it lie?

Will they finally have the 4k60 they promised at launch of the normal PS5? Playing FF16 or Rebirth at sub 30 fps is a painful experience. I bought FF16 and couldn’t continue it due to choppy fps, ruins the experience.

Henrik Fisker should have stuck to Aston Martin as a designer. Ever since he ventured out on his own, its been one failure after another (Karma, Ocean, etc). Great designer, very poor CEO and executor of building an automobile.

Teslas.
