There’s a lot to parse out in this comment, from admitting eating pets to the casual cannabalism but I can’t get past this.

If they were communists, they’d be Brosef Stalin.
I’m sorry that this movie about giant monsters fighting each other wasn’t Citizen Kane or Shakespeare or whatever it is you think these movies should be.
This is my most anticipated movie of the year. I rate it above Endgame and Star Wars, no question.
Having said all that, doesn’t the massive destruction these Monsterverse kaiju wreak create isolated weather that chokes out daylight?
I will always +1 a Shaw Brothers movie. Somehow I missed this one though...
What I really love about Ip-man is that it’s a modern take on Shaw Bros kung-fu movies, which you don’t see really anymore.
I saw it once a few years ago, so I might be due a rewatch. I remember being disappointed that it wasn’t all practical effects, but I’ve changed my mind about a lot of that, so I might like it better.
Hero is SO DAMN GOOD! Some people try to make me pick between it and Crouching Tiger and I say, “What the fuck are you talking about, we’re watching both!”
I get where your coming from with the sequence based action stuff (it’s been ten minutes since the last fight!), and that’s why I rate Crouching Tiger so high. Every fight comes from the characters struggling with something internal, usually trying to figure out what it is they actually want, whether its power, sex,…
I still need to see Grandmaster.
Winter Soldier is maybe top 10. No way is it top 3. We got Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero, the Ip-Man trilogy, Ong-Bak, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Raid movies, the John Wicks, The Dark Knight, and The Bourne Identity all coming out after the year 2000 (Hell, we can even through in the Lord of the Rings, they have…
I think the elevator fight scene is better because elevator fight scenes in general just kick ass. There’s just something about being stuck in a small room without no way out that makes the action pop more, I think.
I had a very similar experience when I was put in an induced coma after I was hit by a bus when I was 19. That was over ten years ago and the immediateness of the dreams does fade a little with time, but the details never really do. I can recall each dream I had, though I have to think a little to remember them all.…
That sucks. This has been happening for a while?
Alright, I sent an email and left a comment on the most recent comment from the original Dr. Lizardo. Hopefully this’ll be resolved soon.
This is a weird time to bring this up, but there’s a troll account impersonating your username.
I might send an email to the IT guys or something. Maybe they can just outright them. Outside of that, we’ll have to mindful of any bodysnatchers.
Since you’re making a list, let the record show that the Dr Emilio Lizardo (faux) who appears in another thread on this article, defending sexual relationships between minors, is not the real Dr Emilo Lizardo.
Two dudes from The Raid 2, so you may need to get more hyped.
