Cool. Now cast Yayan Ruhian as a Mongolian general. Not the main bad, since we’ll want Liu Yifei to take that one out, but like a badass lieutenant or something. Make it happen Disney.
I agree he wouldn’t have finished; I just wish he would have written more on later events in the First Age. Tolkien never really wrote a new full treatment on the fall of Gondolin and Doriath aside from what he wrote as a young man, and I don’t think he ever wrote anything on Ëarendil, which is especially tragic since…
The really interesting stuff are the essays, which are often where Tolkien spent time trying to flesh out ideas concerning Elvish souls and bodies, sometimes through dialouge. There’s a “story” where Finrod and one of the wise-women of the Edain basically sit and talk about the differences of being for Elves and Men.…
Which ones do you own? I own most of the series, apart from the history of the Lord of the Rings. I found The Lays of Beleriand, Morgoth’s Ring, and The War of the Jewels to have the most interesting material, though there were parts in each book worth looking at.
Glad to see we’ve switched to the official M. Bison calendar.
Re: midwest farming, California actually makes the most money off agriculture in the US, basically because their top crops are grapes and almonds, which are all expensive as hell. As for other crops, I think Iowa and Minnesota usually vote Blue, but I’m not sure if that’s just cities swinging elections or if the…
That might not be that big of an upset. It’s got a sizeable chunk of the economy and if the GOP loses California, they’re gonna need to make it up somewhere. Also, outside of the cities, I bet they’d find a pretty big conservative base. Hell, Trump is FROM Queens, so they have a power base in the city already.
Well, yeah. The pen is mightier than the sword.
Always a classic.
“I’ve never met anyone who made being a son of a bitch such a point of pride.”
I can see that; she does blush when Naota confesses to her and they seem to part amicably enough. Trailer just seems to cast her as someone who brings wacky adventures and hijinks and teaches kids what it means to grow up, which isn’t really her deal. I mean, look at Amarao. He seems pretty messed up and I kinda think…
You know what’s kinda fun? The last one, where the announcer goes crazy? That’s the Indians’ radio broadcaster. Dude just loves baseball.
Rajai Davis did the same against the admittedly less loathsome Twins. Still, I always love it when a player steals a run.

My issue is that it seemed to be too much of it’s own thing, especially trying with Haruka talking like she’s some type of Mary Poppins, who pops in and teaches kids how to grow up. I always saw Haruka as manipulative and greedy, taking advantage of people’s weaknesses in order to get what she wants.
+1 focus on the real issue!
More likely Lauren brought in some help from her dark lord, who is Satan.
Derek Dietrich. . . So, Theodoric was a famous Gothic king who established the Ostrogothic kingdom in Italy after the fall of the Roman Empire in Western Europe. He was so popular, that his name was common for years among Germanic people. The sounds changed as the languages changed and Theodoric eventually changed to…
