Calvin, is that you?

Cleveland just won 20 games in a row, has the best rotation, bullpen, infield in baseball right now. Pretty sure they’re better.

Yeah but then they lose to the White Sox in the ALCS. That’s gonna be embarrassing.

You are the third person I’ve heard say that. I kinda want to see the how much traffic dicks.com gets from people who are very literal minded.

I’m worried Francisco Lindor might end up there once his contract is up with the Indians, which might make me set a river on fire.

Collins seems to be working on it.

Damn dog. DRINK THE WATER THE RIGHT WAY!!!

That’s the thing too. Doug Fister looks like Cy Young whenever he’s against the Indians and then the next night Chris Sale looks like he got fisted right before he got on the mound. It’s weird...

So to put in terms we can all understand, you’re saying that McGregor has as much chance of beating Mayweather as Totila the Goth did of freeing the Italian peninsula from Byzantine control when fighting against the general Belisarius during the Gothic War in the 6th century?

I get your point. There are, after all, good actors that thrive in action roles. Would the first Taken have been as well received if the lead was Jason Statham? Neeson has the skill to bring out a desperation and depth in the character that Statham might not have the skill to do.

Sometimes that can be a thing, though, in that it spoils the fight. Hell, The Raid 2 trailer had me pumped for the final fight without showing a single punch (though there was a lot more in the trailer to go on).

I think the Wick directors had an interview with the Honest Trailer guys and the directors made a big emphasis that they were able to do what they did with Wick because Keanu was willing to put in the work. I wouldn’t be surprised if, during their time as stuntmen, they saw actors who would blow off working on the

Stunt performers DO get acting roles, but they’re probably not going to turn many heads with their tour de force work as Thug #1. As for skill in acting, that’s debatable. Some guys keep getting roles for reasons that baffle the mind and some actors (Kurt Russell) think acting is easy and a “low” form of art.

Didn’t Odin give his eye to Mimir to gain knowledge of Ragonorak? That explains how so many Vikings’ fans knew their season was doomed when they were 5-0....

Not gonna lie. I spent more time on those three words then the rest of the post. Had to get all the sounds right!

That’s not to say they wouldn’t take classes, but they definitely wouldn’t have to take a full load when they’re on-season. Of course this is all just wishful thinking anyway...

I’ve always liked the idea that if you’re a student-athlete, you should be “majoring” in something related to the sports-management or physical education. Then all the practice and playtime could be tallied as credit hours and the coaching staff could work as hands-on-educators. But that would be too easy for school

This joke went over A LOT of heads.
