It’s disingenuous of Ley to put “internet mob” in quotation marks, as if those are the words Costas used. He called it “Internet stuff”, which is a completely accurate description. I’d hardly call that “lashing out”. And this post just proves Costas’s point.

This is the way Deadspin has been going of late. Was wondering myself if anyone was feeling the same way about this one.

And Costas isn’t even necessarily wrong about some of the reactions to his comment, but lashing out at the “internet mob” every time people react to something you’ve done in a way you don’t like is an old-white-media-guy move that could not possibly be more played out

Two things: It’s funny that the guy who made the equivalent of a mean internet comment about Pedro Strop is now using this as an opportunity to lament how mean people on the internet can be. And Costas isn’t even necessarily wrong about some of the reactions to his comment, but lashing out at the “internet mob” every

Hmm, yes, why bother reviewing something you have an opinion about?

If you tried to play one on one with any WNBA player, you’d get your ass kicked. You can’t shoot, dribble, etc. like they can at all. Bad take. A better take is that the WNBA is boring and no one watches it because the players don’t have the same freak speed and size (and the abilities that come with those attributes)

That CVC wants out really isn’t surprising at all. Private equity firms actually operate on a pretty simple business model, one that is ingenuous and also a bit ethically dubious.”

Incredible through pass, horrible keeping. Australia deserved the win though.

Astros rookie shortstop Carlos Correa has only been in the major leagues for 10 games, but you might as well go

If I had any money, and you weren’t some anonymous internet person, that’s what I’d bet on.

It’s tough. Like I said, she shouldn’t have necessarily been expecting a shot, but she is caught a little bit in no-man’s-land there, too far off her line to stop something coming towards the far post but not really in position to intercept a more standard cross. She probably would’ve been beaten by an accurate cross

Questionable positioning? Then every goal keeper I’ve ever seen has questionable positioning when someone is coming down that side of the field with the ball.

Never has the British slang of ‘sacked’ been more appropriate.

It’s what typing on my phone permitted. You get short and vague, or longer, yet error ridden.

Would that be the one that said “Giants 6, Cardinals 3”?

Pretty sweet bicycle kick for that first goal.

I’m sure that it’s just a big misunderstanding. Jesus probably just wanted access to some of the Astros’ proprietary religious player data and asked his duly designated representatives on Earth, the St. Louis Cardinals organization, to take care of getting it for Him. Jesus could never want the Cards to do anything
