The other great thing seems to be that one of the first 10 comments on YouTube will tell you the time in the 10 minute video that you can see the top speed! Win win

To me, this is all the standard argument of Americans feeling entitled. Most people only need a Corolla or an equivalent size vehicle. Most of those same people also get fooled into believing that they can afford a F150 Platinum or the huge SUV on sale. Most people cannot actually afford these vehicles, but the

I love the optimism that you believe that it will work for at least 4 years before blowing up in grand fashion.

Who do you think the government is? It is the people of the country... Most countries don’t have the luxury of printing endless supplies of money. They have to do the crazy task of collecting taxes to support a balanced budget.

You don’t even wait to hear the lease terms before complaining? A 50kw battery would be expensive. I would happily rent a battery at $100 a month before I would buy one at $20,000. Renting the battery implies it is relatively easy to replace. When the battery wears out, you could get another battery with newer tech.

Without more info it is impossible to comment on the price of this LX... If it has a binder full of receipts for maintenance no rust it is a good price. If it is clapped out and needs a ton of deferred maintenance then it is quite high. With deferred maintenance it is probably closer to 6k. It is still amazing how

It is easier and more efficient to run many energy generation plants at 100% all the time. Innovation like this would make that possible. You store the energy off peak demand at night and then use it during the day during peak demand. I would imagine VW could negotiate to sell this capacity back to the power companies

Good to know and noted. Thanks

You can feel that the engines are more stiff and less responsive at startup in the cold. That tells me that something is out of the parameters that the engineers ideally want the engine to be operating in. Why not go easier?

This is pretty much my go to. Start the car. Give it 15-30 seconds to idle. You can hear when it is done with the higher RPMs of the startup process, and it usually isn’t much more than 30-60 seconds. When I start driving the car, I keep it below about 2500 rpms until I register the first bar on the coolant temp gauge

The answer I am surprised not to see is the TSX wagon. This is not the best vehicle ever, but it meets most of the needs he states. The only big con is the lack of any real HP and a manual transmission. Other than that, it will run until the end of time. It is still fun, but it isn’t the most fun ever. Once he is back

Why would Toyota not install the chassis bracing in the engine bay that is present in the z4??? The bolt holes and cutouts in the airbox are present so it could be installed...

BMS is one of the more reputable tuners for BMWs right now. They are the ones involved with many of the higher HP builds. BMS does piggyback tuners. These rock for vehicles still under warranty because it is removable to take the car in for service. The forum that they started is N54Tech.com. I know they have a tuner

To Hell with Dinan, think more Burger Motorsports JB4

Except all you will find if things like this continue is car dealers who are underhanded and willing to go out of business anytime a suit like this gets filed. If allowed to continue unchecked, the good dealers will go under because of bad precedent leading to more suits being filed for any reason. As a result people

Thanks for posting this. It shows up with the Denver Library. We get 8 credits a month!

You know.... 35k can definitely get you to a used Cayman S with an aftermarket warranty. Hell, that will even barely get you a 2009+ model that would come with PDK!

This doesn’t strike me as looking to be a fleet sales kind of vehicle. This strikes me as a competitor to the King Ranch F250 kind of owner. You know, the one whose bed has only ever carried their huge Yeti cooler.

The idea of a generator seems like the way to go. The issue in my understanding is that you cannot discharge and charge a battery at the same time as it is very hard on the battery.

My very first though, “This is ugly, but actually in a pretty good way.” This is the look that the takes about 10 times of seeing before you come around to it.
