They’ve also started selling gyūdon, too.

I don’t expect Valve to do anything, no idea what they would do.
I’m glad I ruined something for you.
Just because it is possible.
Seems a few are taking what I’ve said as some sort of defence of BT’s actions.
I didn’t claim otherwise.
Because I don’t know, and never claimed it as a fact...?
No idea. But like it’s be said elsewhere, perhaps Valve are just one of the few who aren’t paying the fee.
I think you’re probably right in regards to saying that everyone else may already be paying.
You can also create agreements/contracts between companies, and choose any country’s law to follow. Shit’s weird, yo.
Not at all, I totally agree. But I don’t think that all are paying license fees (if they are), Valve being one of them.
No idea. We don’t know if other companies are actually paying BT license fees already.
Dunno, right? Maybe other companies do actually pay BT fees for using the patent, and it may just be Valve who didn’t.
It won’t be that they’re the only ones who can use it, it’s that the others will need to pay a license fee.
It’ll continue to happen until there’s an overhaul of the patent system - which is seriously needed.
Well, patents can suck, but they apparently did reach out to Valve, and have for a number of years before moving to take this type of action.
It appears they’ve been trying to handle it outside of court, but Valve haven’t responded: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/08/31/bt_…
Possibly. Depending on the ruling.
Sure, but BT aren’t your typical patent troll. They’re a major telecommunications company.
Damn... this covers a heck of a lot of stuff...
