Ive not really a twitch watcher but this was one of the first ones I have ever watched. For a game that had so much crap said about it, I was enjoying it the whole time. You are are pretty good shot! Only thing I would say is stop worrying what you are eating so much! Food is food yo. Enjoy the shit out of it.

It’s ok to let someone enjoy things.

Honestly, this game was/is fantastic. the story was interesting, the gameplay was fun. it looks amazing. Tesla! werewolves and victorian knights of the round. this has badass movie franchise written all over it.

Now playing

This recent and brilliant video on the game from YouTuber, RobinGaming gave me hope for a sequel. This is a must watch for fans of the game.

At some point in the game, there is a staircase with broken tiled walls and huge windows. The tiles are all glistening. This is the most impressive thing I have ever seen in a real time render.

OMG, how could anyone think Get Out was anything but B movie schlock. Magic hypnosis, consciousness brain transplant, zombies that malfunction when their eyes are flashed (Simpsons did it), and a twist so obvious the white girl should have had a pencil thin mustache to swirl.

All that this is based on, are a few off-the-cuff tweets from the studio head, to straw man arguments. I think he could’ve explained it better, but after reading up on the history of it all, I just don’t see the argument against their decision not to include people of color, when the evidence points to the contrary.

Unreasonable person response: I’m going to ignore whatever the developer (who’ve spent the last six years on the game), and the historians they’ve employed, say about this topic and be offended.

Dark skinned and black isn’t the same thing though is it? And as I said there are people of color in the game, just not black people.

3. The game creator did not say Europe he said Bohemia. The game is not set in “Europe” an entire continent but in a specific part of Europe one where at the time the game is set there is no historical record of black people.

Pointing out that there were black people in Spain at the time does not partially debunk the assertion that there were no black people in Bohemia.

Depends.

The game takes place 200 years before this. And do you know that Venice and Bohemia are pretty far apart in that day and age?

You can’t be a bigot for stating facts.

Also, it definitely seems like you’re angry. Saying you’re not doesn’t magically make it so.

Why does historical accuracy bother you that much?

Nope, I’d be calling them out for being unfair to the devs if they were liberal or conservative.

You just described “confirmation bias”.

Its a historical setting about the region around the devs homeland, whats questionable about doing their cultural heritage justice? Im looking forward to your opinion on the next histocial game set in feudal japan and how its full of asians (although japan probably had alot more diversity at that time than eastern

I like interacting here on Kotaku, but this comes off as one of the more petty articles I’ve read. The man has conservative politics and he made a pretty good video game that is successful. This kind of snide disdain for what is obviously a labor of love is why games journalism isn’t taken seriously anymore.
