you can get a beaten badly example for 10K in Manitoba, Canada. this looks nicer but 51K is a stretch.
lol no worries. A good discussion is why I comment.
mapping isn’t the issue, icy spots, piles of snow, things a real driver can see and account for. The cameras and lasers and radar cannot do this yet. Hell where I live most lanes don’t even have paint because winter takes them away in 1-2 years.
the radar cannot see the snow. snowbanks would get you stuck . the cameras cannot see the lanes. also the cameras cannot see ice or black ice. braking times vary in winter. I’m talking real winter like where I live, Winnipeg.
I cannot star you enough. I don’t want autonomous cars. and how can they work on snow covered roads? They cant. but some idiot will try.
I have purchased better tools and a lift and I’m working on garage heat. I wont stop but I will make life easier. I’m now 40 and I have learned my lesson about cheap tools and no lift.
I own an Abarth 500. it has the same engine. A flash fixes everything. more torque more HP and better economy. the factory tune drown the car in fuel in the upper end and in high boost low speed (lugging) situations to prevent detonation. a tune fixes this. the exhaust can be fixed as well. IMHO those are easier and…
Great for those who have rear seat passengers with only one leg each.
I purchased a 2013 Abarth. A main reason I got the car was it has no backup camera, no lane departure warning, a real physical key, etc. All the options you came up with would be a no for me. Just because we can does not mean we should. I want a car, not a rolling Best Buy.
I’m honestly more worried that these early airbags are always full force instead of dual stage like modern bags. and a deployment would write off the car for sure. and they are 20 year old explosive devices. lots of reasons why I don’t want them.
the car needs to pass a “safety” to be registered when transfer of ownership happens. I just purchased the car from a co worker. If I want to sell it years later I need to fix it before sale if I disable anything. you can check out the highway traffic act for Manitoba,Canada. its in there.
the early airbags had a caustic propellant. once deployed if the car wasn’t written off it had to be entirely scrubbed down before use again.
watching that Gif for 10 minutes is like watching a "10 second" race in the Fast and the Furious.
where I am from it is illegal to disable or remove airbags. I have a 1995 Acura Integra which uses the worst kind of propellant. the Gen 1 airbags. I should be legally able to disable them.
Ford Escort could be touchy.
Or get a less loaded Odyssey, remove the back seats and stuff an Abarth 500 in there. Id think the decision would be closer.
My modified Abarth has a huge list of mods including a front mount intercooler (removed 2 side mounts) and a ecu tune. It puts down over 200 to the wheels. However mine is a 2013. 2015+ cant be tuned just yet because of encryption.
its actually really good. If you don’t get the sunroof its even better.
I have a 2013 Abarth. It is the worst/best car I have ever owned. On paper it is terrible. In practice it is the greatest fun you can have on a road at legal speeds. I have modified the suspension and motor extensively, but I have left the exhaust alone for....reasons.....
