To be pedantic they went into victory formation to kneel to end the first half against the Jaguars and go into overtime against the Packers.
The formation rules come from the early history of football when mass formations like flying wedges were common. In 1905, 19 football players died from injuries on the field. I don’t care who is covering who but formation penalties are a big safety issue.
Didn’t the Vikings lose by having a punt block safety in the last minute of a game to when the score was tied and likely heading into OT? Some sort of bizarre safety would be a better narrative. The missed goal narrative is an old one. Everyone loves a new innovative way to fuck up.
There are no tapes of Jerry Richardson saying outrageously scandalous statements. Also, Richardson has agreed to go.
The crazy thing is this is only the third strangest’s ending to a half this season. There was that Bears blocking the Steelers’ field goal only to stop running at the one and to kick a field goal on an untimed play and there was the Bengals muffing a punt in Packers field goal range but not giving up any points…
I would think putting someone new in when they are in a position where they cannot succeed could affect their confidence. Especially at short notice. Put Webb in during garbage time first if you want to do this. I can not imagine having all losses for your first handful of starts leads to a great future.
When teams change starting quarterbacks in the middle of the season when neither is inspiring confidence, why do they announce it ahead of time? Brock is not great but if they made the switch without telling anyone and at least they would get to play a Philadelphia defense who prepared all week watching tape etc to…
Sure if I tackle a stranger I am getting arrested. Playing a sport players agree consent to be tackled and the risks that come with it. Choking people outside of a play is not part of the game. It is about the intent to assault someone and do harm. Contact sports are violent and I do not think every rule violation is…
One could argue Green should be arrested. He choked someone. Just because it occurs in sports does not mean the law does not apply. If it happened anywhere else he would be arrested.
I once ordered 200 dollars of Papa John’s pizza for my AP calculus students after the AP exam because it was the only place that would deliver pizza at 930 in the morning.
Candy Corn is terrible. Nobody is my liked when I was a kid. My mom would just use it as a decoration we used the same bag for years. I had to stop my brother’s friend for eating a five year piece of candy corn once. It probably tastes equally terrible as fresh candy corn.
Wyoming Territory gave women the right to vote in 1869 and put it in their state constitution when they became a state. Mike Ditka is also a moron.
