Right, in the same way manufacturers "punish" used sales by not including factory warranties. There are rewards and benefits for buying new beyond shrink wrap. Feel like you're missing out? Spring the extra $5 and buy new.

I think what you're missing is an entitled, irrational sense of nerd rage.

Jury summons. NOOOOOO!

Just realized that Aric Jorgan, the starting Trooper companion in SWTOR, is voiced by none other than Carlton Lassiter (aka Lassie) from Psych. Which has made me enjoy the game even more.

Yeah. And the references to the bombardment, the downed Republic ship, and the rumored Rakghoul cure are all things you do in the original game. Without that connection, I agree that the quests are a little dull.

Agreed. I got an SII Skyrocket and absolutely love it after coming over from an iPhone. Fast, customizable, and a bigger, better screen, and it stands out from literally everyone else who uses iPhones.

Got to Taris in SWTOR, and am really enjoying all the references to the original Old Republic in the missions. It took a while to get its tendrils in me, but now I am really enjoying it and will probably keep playing after my 30 days.

You can always switch to standards, which give you better boosts overall. I stopped using my herald in the 40s because he kept pulling mobs and drove me crazy.

Even though it's 80+ rated, I'd get something better for a PSU (at least 600W and a little more room on the 12 volt rail). I am not sure if a 450W with a single 35a 12v rail, even an efficient one, can comfortably handle an i7 and a GTX 560. The old 10% of the cost should be PSU rule has kept me well.

I can play Halo online for hours and have a complete blast, even when I am not doing well. But I can't stand more than a match or two of any competitive CoD modes online. Granted, I do much better on Halo (it was my main FPS squeeze in college), but even when I am doing poorly it feels less like the meat grinder that

Not really, though. This was planning that took place at a half decade ago, as there's no way they would have considered a Lord of the Rings MMO once LotRO was released. I am sure they had done zero work on the game, engine, or assets. This was just an early planning stage where they needed a workable foundation. And

I am not opposed to trying it (I loved the beta). I just was planning on holding off for a bit and sparing the $60. But now I don't want to be odd man out... haha

I hate having friends sometimes. I am beset on all sides with voices begging me to buy SWTOR. I really didn't want to, but I really like playing games with my friends. Decisions...

Did you every listen to the dialogue and narration in Max Payne? It's some of the most awful, over-the-top tripe ever put to disc. And that's why it's so glorious.

There are few things I enjoy more than a good Kant joke.

I upgraded to a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket today, and holy mother of God is 4G LTE fast. I did a speed test and got 36000 kbps download and 10000 kpbs upload. The future is going to be awesome.

Kotaku poll time: should I buy a Kinect bundle ($119 with Adventures, Fruit Ninja, and Gunstringer) or the Goldeneye PS Move bundle ($99)? Or should I save my money.

The cloud is like a 512 MB memory stick that's digitally linked to your Live Account. If you save to the cloud slot, it's on the cloud drive. If you are offline, you can't access the cloud save. You can, however, copy files from the cloud to your hard drive, but it would have to be opened separately.

HA! Didn't even see yours but I did a shop a few threads up for the movie poster.
