Probably Lord of the Rings Online, though I just got an email that Rift is on sale for $9.99 this weekend ($25 with a month's subscription) directly through their site. Even though I found the trial to be kind of "meh", it still is tempting.

I always kind of enjoyed the Library. Baiting flood to charge and dropping them with the shotgun was always satisfying.

Those controls have sold me already. I loved car combat games, but was less than enthusiastic about the new TM because I replayed a few of the "classics" recently and the controls felt like steering a rolling bath tub. I spent so much time ramming into walls and fighting just to see my enemies that it was headache…

I don't doubt the functionality or quality or usability of this thing. But I have to wonder what it will cost, and it essentially means no third party controllers. Plus, as some one who enjoys tossing the occasional controller is faux anger, this seems a bit too delicate for my tastes.

I just loaded a new Oblivion game this weekend as a Khajit, and spent 20 minutes trying to get a normal looking forehead and cheeks on my character. But alas...

I love the cries of "Milk!" when the CoD franchise has released seven games in the same time span. Hell, there have been about as many Final Fantasy console games as Halo games over the past decade (X, X-2, XII, XIII). The Halo universe is interesting and there are still things to explore. I can't quite tell what I think of Rift so far into my trial. The rift battles themselves are great and seem to improve my favorite part of Warhammer Online by giving massive public quests, but some of the other aspects of it just seem a bit, well, meh.
