Really? PSN devs are now running close to a month with little or no income, depending on how much they rely on PSN. If I told you you don't get a salary for the next month, I am pretty sure your personal budget is going to take a pretty big hit.

Try getting into an online RPG but avoiding the PvP areas. Something like Lord of the Rings Online or World of Warcraft where the focus in on PvE.

Probably not. Unless you have a ton of background processes, anything after 4 GB offers increasingly smaller bonuses for performance. Though if you are a multi-tasker with Netflix, iTunes, downloads, etc. all running as you game, it would help. And if you can get it cheap, why not?
